    Pros

This is a great place to learn radiographic procedures, providing a larger variety of exams, including trauma, outpatient, inpatient, surgery, and portable rotations. Staff members care a great deal for getting the job done in a manner that is going to be efficient and diagnostic, while simultaneously caring for the patient's well-being. Staff also shows an enthusiastic concern for the success of the student radiographer's learning process, which cannot be said for all Radiologic Technologists. They remember what it was like being a student radiographer and respect the process.

    Cons

The only downside of working as a student radiographer here was the lack of 5 view C-spine, 5 view L-spine, and barium enema exams; this however is out of the hands of the radiography department and completely in the hands of the referring physicians.

    Advice to Management

Management needs no advice, for she knows what she is doing and does it well.

    Pros

The people (coworkers) are great to work with. The patients for the most part are friendly and appreciate your help.

    Cons

They don't care what the needs of their employees, unless you are one of their precious few.

    Advice to Management

If the company is going to say they have work/life balance, then they need to have that for everyone not just a select few.

Understaffed. Patient ratio to nurse 6-8 patients per nurse.

    Advice to Management

Back up your nurses instead of making them quit.

    Pros

Autonomy, respect, great salary, flexible schedule, opportunities to advance. Education reimbursement, great coworkers, continuing education opportunities are varied and pertinent to your specialty.

    Cons

Jumping through hoops unrelated to job performance to get a raise. Pushy about serving on committees that are time consuming and, often, boring. Charting becoming more and more time consuming, reducing available time to spend at the bedside.
