    Pros

There is so much work to FIX ALL OF THE PROBLEMS, it's all hands on deck. This means that there are development opportunities for all employees. In this environment employees bonded together and became friends, resulting in long term relationships...that is the positive.

    Cons

    - The company does not return value to its shareholders (Evidence in the declining stock price) - Company removed from Mid-cap 400 to Small-cap 600 - Inexperienced C-suite: 1) A company with declining market share promoted an individual into the CEO role with no prior experience; 2) New CHRO brought into the C-suite with no prior Corporate experience; 3) New CFO with no prior experience - Low employee morale and employees seeking external opportunities

    Advice to Management

Eliminate the drama and do the right thing for the company. Reevaluate the current incumbents in c-suite positions.

    I worked at Harsco full-time

    Pros

Great working environment filled with autonomy and positive influences to progress professionally. The core management has been with the company for 10-15+ years, therefore, everyone has the same goal oriented mindset.

    Cons

The company is very reactive as opposed to proactive. This is the effect of job positions being spread thin and requires one to wear many different hats.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Harsco full-time

    Pros

Established industry leader; proven product line; focused on continuous improvement and market development. Management is young and progressive. Recently invested in a new facility in excess of 500,000 square feet.

    Cons

The work flow is antiquated and systems are cumbersome. The smallest task requires multiple emails and numerous forms. Very rigid structure that does not respond well to changes or exceptions to standards. Business is related to the energy industry and fluctuates accordingly.

    Advice to Management

Continue with goals and progressive programs, but don't follow old rules. Improve flexibility and do away with strict formats and procedures.
