Highly dependent on which part of the organization you are in

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Harte Hanks full-time for more than 10 years

ProsSome offerings are very strong, such as Trillium. Great capabilities in direct mail (yes, it still exists) and logistics. Good PTO policy.

ConsThe company has been trying for years to do "digital" but can't seem to get it right. Executive leadership does not understand technology, and many of the underlying systems are antiquated. People are not used effectively, and there is very little management training, which leads to some highly irregular management styles, to put it nicely.

Advice to Senior ManagementI'm not sure what to tell you - the problems this company has seem to be structural. How do you make a giant, antiquated organization nimble and dynamic?

Disappointed

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Yardley, PA

I have been working at Harte Hanks full-time for more than 3 years

ProsMany highly talented, hard working people working for this division.

ConsToo many senior managers that are not in touch with the day-to-day management of clients which causes those managing the workload much stress and late hours. Lack of training available to employees, including some managers who should not be in a 'managing people' role. Not competitive in the marketplace with salary level. High employee turnover.

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest in employees as they are indeed the companies most-valuable asset.

I loved working with this company!

Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee)
Langhorne, PA

I worked at Harte Hanks as a contractor for less than a year

ProsMy co-workers were so wonderful and the lady that trained me was the best! I wish they would have hired me full time instead of me being there as a temp.

ConsI was just starting to understand the concept of my position when I was told that my assignment was over.

Advice to Senior ManagementI am now in College studying for my BS Degree in Business Management. Maybe now you can rehire me as a full time employee :)

Solid Company, Heading in the right direction

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Harte Hanks full-time for less than a year

ProsMy department has been phenomenal - I am not micro managed, I have flexibility, and I am trusted to do my job.

Regarding corporate culture, the company has had some get-together's/outings which have been great for morale, and hr programs in which employees can compete for various prizes, etc.

There is a new CEO on board, who is facilitating some changes, in a good way!

ConsBenefits start after 90 days
Office environment can be fairly stale depending on which office you work in (there are many)
