Hartford Hospital won't make the list of top places to work.

ProsHartford Hospital has implemented a set of values that speaks to the care of their customers...the patients. This has improved the care and environment of the hospital over the past 8 years.

ConsMuch change and growth as lead to a very depersonalized work environment for staff. HHC invests in its growth, not in their staff.

Advice to Senior ManagementDo unto others...
Just as there are core values for staff to follow to benefit the company, please consider implementing a set of core values for the company to follow when thinking of the needs of their staff.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Company has grown too fast too quick.

ProsThe providers are great, smart, caring, and ethical. It's nice for our patients, extended hours, nights, weekends, and it has a very large network of doctors.

ConsThe long and rotating shifts can be a challenge, and there is a definite lack of communication from upper management to the front line. Also, there is no growth for most positions.
