I worked at Hartville Group full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great employees who care about pets and their job.
Employees cared about successfully completing their work and cared what the customers thought.

    Cons

Leadership structure could be a bit lacking with direction of larger projects. The exact requirements didn't seem to make it to those who were actually doing the grunt work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When switching to a new development plan or technology. Switch to it. Don't accept a half-hybrid as it will cause longer term problems.

I worked at Hartville Group full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

For a while strong and intelligent leadership made decisions at the company, after key leaders left, new individuals were added that had no experience and blamed past leaders for all problems.

    Cons

Current management looks to blame past leadership for all the problems while those problems are their own. There's a reason why they were forced out of their last job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sack most of middle/senior management and find some true talent.

I worked at Hartville Group full-time

    Pros

Mostly nice people but could be run better.

    Cons

Some depts have people who are unwilling to listen or use suggestions for change. Management plays favorites and only listens to these people. The CEO who is great is not listened to enough which is odd too see in any co.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Add to staff with people who have fresh ideas and new ways to improve.
