Fantastic resources, outstanding libraries. An atmosphere that prides itself on supporting fellows to produces gold-standard research. You are surrounded my passionate and interesting people and there are so many fantastic lectures and events to attend.

    Advice to Management

Continue to do what you do. I can only thank you for my wonderful experience and hope that others will be given the same opportunities.

    Pros

Interesting work, great place to be, lots of access to various activities, casual dress code, flexible working hours. Lots of history.

    Cons

Entitled students, prestige is considered a part of the paycheck, faculty divas, many positions have soft (temporary) funding, institution panics when the market goes down even though their wealth is boggling to the ordinary mortal.

    Pros

-Opportunities to learn a lot of new research skills
    -Supportive management and team
    -Great resume building
-Good experience as a stepping stone job to apply for full-time research position (got two offers so far because of adding this to my resume I believe!!)

    Cons

-No benefits (but that is the nature of temp jobs)

    Advice to Management

Thank you for being so great. Try to hire more full-time RA's so the good people will stay at your lab longer.

    Pros

Good students, generally, good working culture. The teaching material is generally prepared for you or takes trivial effort to put together. And it's always interesting to learn what the profs have to say about the subject.

    Cons

Sometimes the professors are hard to get feedback to. Also, students beg for grades from time to time - but it's easy to deal with. Make sure you are protective about your time.

    Advice to Management

Could be nice to introduce more consistency from year to year; also, enforce the prerequisites so that students at least know the very basics.

  11. Great place to work

I have been working at Harvard University

    Pros

Great benefits and lots of attention paid to learning new job skills, career development is available and HR is supportive

    Cons

Can be difficult to get things done in such a huge university. Many positions are term only which can be difficult.
