    Pros

Great discounts across and outside the store; good for entry level and there is opportunity to progress; Currently HN provides training for employees in London called 'Style Academy'. Very demanding in terms of providing an outstanding customer service which is measured by the Mystery Shopper report (with £100 voucher price when 100% achieved). Employees receive a lot of training and their salary is reviewed annually.

    Cons

Low wages doesn't correspond with workload - HN staff have much more responsibilities than concession staff (who usually earns more and have better commission scheme). Very strict when it comes to attendance, even a minute lateness can lead to intimidating meeting with a manager and a note in your record. Very demanding working hours (extended hours during Christmas or expectation to work 12h shift during special events). Old equipment makes it challenging to provide a good customer experience - the till can shut down in the middle of transaction or the phone will not work etc. the store can be extremely quiet and thus makes your job a bit boring, and the management will make sure that you don't spend quiet days chatting to colleagues (if you know what I mean).

    Pros

Great perks - general clothing and beauty discount, amazing travel discount, always lots of mini perks around Christmas and also undertakes summer hours
New CEO and directors are injecting fresh energy and modern innovation into the brand to transform it slowly - they keep staff very aware of whats going on in general and always exciting new projects
The office environment is lively and friendly (music playing, always after work event, cake sales etc)

    Cons

    Micro-managing is unbearable at times
No loyalty when it comes to promotions
No training to learn new skills outside your JD - days are closely targeted
No room to be promoted despite excelling in your role
    No opportunity for pay rises
Often give preferential treatment to certain employees
Office interiors are very uninspiring and boring
Location is tricky to get to if you live anywhere other than West London
No cafeteria or decent food eateries nearby
    Small budgets

    Advice to Management

Stop micromanaging and allow your staff to develop their skills. Appreciate hard work and loyalty more
