I have been working at Hawaii Behavioral Health part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Salary and flexible schedule as well as opportunities to learn more in the field on a regular basis.

    Cons

Monthly meetings in office. Great for team development but costly for gas and bus fares to get there on a frequent basis for only an hour meeting during rush hour in town. Maybe web meetings? Also last minute schedulings were sometimes frustrating to try to get a hold of the appropriate people before interacting with clients.

  2.

HBH employees provide excellent services but the company's management needs improving.

I have been working at Hawaii Behavioral Health as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

    Friendly co-workers
    Knowledgeable supervisors
Excellent service provided to clients of DOE and DOH
    Decent/mediocre health benefits
    Convenient in town location

    Cons

Inconsistent pay wages for people with the same degree/length of experience
    High turnover rate
Management is constantly requesting more work and duties without compensation of any kind
    Continuous upper management changes

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is a dramatic decline in company morale with the high staff and contract worker turnover rate. The company is quick to cut employee benefits in favor of higher management compensation and perks. There are frequent changes to requirements verging on questionable standards.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
