    Pros

Competitive pay. You really directly influence what you earn. With time you will find yourself sitting down with really senior people to understand the direction of the business and how you, as one operational person, can influence it. Training is given at all stages of your career.

    Cons

The only thing I would say about this company is that it is not for coasting. If you want to do a 9-5, I'd do it somewhere else, less demanding.

    Advice to Management

Regional and sector responsibilities could be defined more clearly. Especially in tough times, it would be best not to spend energy on arguments with colleagues.

    Pros

Exceptional training and support, offering a real career path for those that work hard - a meritocracy - new recruits get the chance to run their own mini businesses - and will be rewarded accordingly. Real work hard, play hard culture.

    Cons

Tough to make the grade to join the business - high expectations placed on all staff - but management do foster a belief in supporting consultants to perform to the best of their ability.

    Advice to Management

Never lose the Hays identity - the DNA of what makes a Hays consultant - and keep celebrating real success
