    Pros

Worked for Hays now for over 10 years and will always recommend this as a place to work. Outstanding training provided for all new people to the business but also continued development at all levels ensures that everyone lives and breathes the Brand Values. You reguarly hear how important a companies brand values are for employees to match, but i can confidently say that all employees at Hays use these in everything they do to remain leaders in their specialism.

Hays is always looking to invest and develop their own people and therefore the opportunities are vast. Whether that is a move based on location both un UK or Internationally or actually a change in career the business is always looking to use individuals expertise to better itself.

Work Hard - Play Hard = Everyone work's hard at Hays but the culture across the business is fantastic where people are to able to let their hair down socially and benefit from regular financial & non-financial rewards / recognition.

Without a doubt would recommend Hays as a company you would want to work for!

    Cons

Over 10 years experience, business has changed alot and all for the good during that time, therefore cannot think of a negative thing to say.

    Pros

Fantastic company that offers real training and development for all staff and rewards them for doing well. Some of the incentives we attend are amazing!
Also they have real opportunities in the UK and overseas and are happy for you to transfer to further your career or just have a change of lifestyle

    Cons

Nothing in particular. Can be extremely hard work but that is the nature of recruitment and Hays actually offers more support than most

    Pros

Hays celebrates success and I'm not just saying that to draw your attention to this review.

Whether it be a small fee or a huge client win I have seen some great incentives offered during my time at Hays. Employees have the opportunity to enjoy all expenses paid holidays, spa treatments, day experiences, top notch lunches/dinner and so on. That is of course as long as you're a top performer!!

    Cons

Nothing comes for free. If you want to earn big or go on an all expenses paid trip with Hays Elite, you need to work for it.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!

    Pros

Challenging and always something new to learn. A strong support structure and a forward thinking business. Good support from senior members of the business.

    Cons

You must be financially/sales driven to work in this industry. There are not many other opportunities to work within the business if you are not. Reward and commission schemes could be better. Recognition can sometimes be too financially orientated. We all work very hard and do long hours, which is normal for this industry, but can sometimes be very challenging.

    Pros

Your outline and path for promotion is set out from the beginning and you know the criteria that you need to achieve. There is also plenty of opportunities to relocate within Hays if that is what you are looking for.

    Cons

The working hours are long and the role does involve quite a bit of travel, dependant on area. I think this should be stressed more to new recruits so they know what to expect.

    Advice to Management

Give new consultants a realistic expectation of the role to ensure retention

Well trained managers (as a result)

    Fun!

Nothing specific to Hays - recruitment requires resilient individuals as the nature of the job can be up and down (but there is sufficient support to get through the downs!)
