Advice to Senior Management
Don't be so nice. Get rid of the dead weight and hire more fresh/young, intelligent people. We will all be better off this way.

Work from home ( a mirage)
Cons
Rude Middle management
lot bureaucratic
Work from home - True only if your manager is favorable to you
Favor-ism even if you are not skilled
Some supervisor track how many times you go for rest room
Some supervisor stay for ever even if they run off highly skilled people just for saying correct things
No use even if you complain to HR or Compliance
Advice to Senior Management
Sr. Management please listen
Pros
Benefits, vacation, some of the people that have stuck it out
Cons
Certain divisions have issues whereby the management is more focused on their next promotion or how to make themselves look good than how they think it would be best to get the work done and support their hardworking staff. It disgusted me the way this was very evident in not just a few directors in the claims division but at least 50 percent of them. They need to learn what the golden rule is. It seems like radical, disrepectful behavior is the norm and tolerated. HR is of no help as its not breaking the law to yell at people or treat them like dogs.
Advice to Senior Management
Get a grip on your VP and director group. Its not about how good someone looks on paper or how they can make themselves better but how they can help achieve results while also treating the staff like real humans with feelings and talents.
Pros
salary and benefits are very good, Pension is offered.
Cons
It is so difficult to move to a different team right now. The situation in IT is getting worse
Advice to Senior Management
They need to listen to employees.
Pros
Worklife, Managment, Technology, Opportunity, Skills
Cons
Technical Silos, People who have been there too long and should be let go.
Pros
The employee benefits and family oriented approach with colleagues.
Cons
When reducing the workforce the company does not look at retaining experienced workers.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep knowledge over academic achievements in the work place.
Pros
Good benefits - they still have a pension.
Cons
Poorly run IT department. The systems are at the point at which they can't handle any more growth in the business.
Advice to Senior Management
Wake up. Your systems are aged and weak. Replace them with higher performance systems which will require replacing a number of IT employees.
Pros
Great Pay and Benefits - Way above average
Well Stocked coffers for contingencies and exec pockets
They are very diverse in there work force
The DO give quite a bit back to the community
Cons
Inconsistent Mgmt structure that fosters Empire Building with no oversight
Extremely prone to favortism and political agendas. Very, very political
Tons of rules that indicate control, but no actual prevention of retaliation or intimidation by mgmt to staff
Promotions based on tenure, favortism, etc, but certainly not merit
Extremely slow to act and always an excuse
Questionable ethics and morals in middle mgmt
Technologically WAY behind in HW, SF, Methodology
Staff is drowning in work while resources are super constrained
Stifling atmosphere for communication (Conform or be Gone)
Advice to Senior Management
All the talking to the staff has fallen on deaf ears by now
Time to gut mgmt and train fresh external candidates who know what they are doing
Invest in your people with more than cash
Remove the stranglehold mgmt has on staff to make the staff WANT to contribute more
