    Pros

nurses are able to establish a rapport with their patients in the outpatient infusion environment. Nothing really to do with Healix.

    Cons

Crowded group infusion rooms no privacy
Electronic medical record is just a record of the infusion visit. It interfaces with nothing. Orders, consents, patient teaching records, labs, central line reports and X-rays all need to be scanned-a tedious waste of time
Admissions anytime work until you're done
    Mon-Friday daytime hours is deceiving

    Advice to Management

Nothing they dont care and aren't listening

    Pros

Some buying experience, accounts payable experience, vendor relationship management, excel/ access experience

    Cons

No drive, poor leadership, does not value new new employees. I was fresh out of college, and they let me go within 3 months of working there for no reason.

    Advice to Management

    Complete restructure

    Pros

Professional development and opportunity for advancement is excellent.
Many of the corporate and clinical staff members have been with the company over 10 years.
Staff is recognized and rewarded for job performance.
    Co-workers are experienced professionals.
Upper level management leads by example.
Management listens to and values employees suggestions and often make changes accordingly.

    Cons

    No 401k matching
Benefits take longer than I expected to start and the deductibles are higher than I would expect.
Not a place where new nurses would want to start due to the high level of specialization and clinical skills required.

    Pros

Healix is a great place to work. I've worked here for a while and there are a number of people here who are like family. I have even seen several people leave the company and return. Management has a clear vision of where they want to take things and the booming growth makes it an exciting place to be. I've been able to develop my career while here and am pleased with the amount of opportunity and training provided to me. I've been acknowledged for my hard work witht heir employee of the month program. It feels great to know that they pay attention to employees. The work is fulfilling- I love knowing that I work for a company that helps sick people get better.

    Cons

Not much to speak of. Working for a growing business sometimes means last minute urgent requests, but I enjoy working in a fast paced work environment. It keeps things interesting.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in your employees.

    Pros

Super nice people for the most part, training programs are good, had a detailed discussion about the job so I know what to expect going into it. Learned a lot about corporate culture going into this position and feel challenged and supported if I have questions.

    Cons

No day care inside of the building like my last job had had or free happy hours to help employee moral. :)

    Advice to Management

think about perks like paid gym memberships and childcare to help employees more

    Pros

Great colleagues, healthcare experience, training the way I had it was great as the experience taught me more of how to deal with various situations that constantly arose

    Cons

Way to low compensation for the amount of work you do when compared to national and even local averages. Constant downsizing of positions when someone is let go or quits and nepotism is something this company is infamous for

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your employees and all the hard work they put into it. Invest in your own talent so that they don't leave when they get better offers

    Pros

Overall working environment was pleasant (most of the time). Good relationships with colleagues. The COO and VP of Sales were great mentors.

    Cons

Politics and drama amongst management. Rampant nepotism within this family business. Conceited, extremely egotistical CEO that screams so loud at senior management and employees it can be heard on the entire floor. Very low salary when compared to national data.

    Advice to Management

Listen to and value your employees. Reward dedicated employees with promotions instead of hiring brand new college graduates. Get a better health insurance plan.
