Makes it hard for driven employees to work with.

    Pros

Wfh and pto are nice benefits if approved

    Cons

Cutting networks and access to doctors and hospitals and laying off community outreach and wellness department. They don't give a crap about anything but the bottom line. They made a huge profit last year and then no salary increase until August instead of March after everyone busted their butt. What health insurance company cuts their wellness program!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Knowledge of company is lost due to turnover. When someone leaves they close position and "redistribute " their work to their team. They even set up their own employee hsa plan incorrectly and never announced it to date. They cut corners everywhere they can. No wifi. No cell service. No bonus for employees below management.

I worked at Health Net full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Great pay, PTO and benefits.

    Cons

Most departments do not communicate and worked in an extremely silo'd environment. Made collaboration challenging. Their technology is is lacking. IT was off shored which made it difficult when you had related issues - which occurred frequently - if not daily, on a weekly basis. Their monthly company-wide meetings were lacking and unenthusiastic...Company culture was poor, and supported an entitlement mentality (especially among more employees with seniority within the company).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company culture and collaboration needs to be improved. Improvement in IT systems. Better recognition of OE and their role in the company.

I worked at Health Net full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Loved working with my team in Corporate HR even though we were part of a horrible HR department

    Cons

Associates are not valued; Senior Management is only concerned with their own financial well being; This Company should be taken over by a bigger health care company that knows how to run a business properly and provide excellent products and services to consumers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You've created a horrible culture! Shame on you. Mr. Gellar - You are not Mark Zuckerberg! Don't wear a "hoodie" to a Senior Management meeting!!

I worked at Health Net full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

People were nice, there was not a lot of competition or the typical corporate culture. Communication was always free flowing. Management was always willing to listen.

    Cons

In certain areas nepotism was very prevalent. Some employee did not do the basic job functions and were never disciplined.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Employees should be able to anonymously rate their bosses and it be a factor in the boss's review.

I worked at Health Net full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Health Net does offer a VERY competitive salary. For the position of multimedia specialist I was paid very well.

    Cons

The company paid their upper level managers, CEO etc. very well, with enormous bonuses for no reason. I saw a lot of frivolous spending & departments that failed but management always punished the best employees.

Don't expect common sense from this place, don't have your own ideas or innovative solutions. They want Sheep - employees to shut up and listen!

Doesn't matter if you are the smartest, most efficient, hardworking or talented employee in your department. If you are better than your manager, you will get canned.

If you are sexually harassed and have documentation, don't expect HR to do anything about it. In fact, don't tell anyone or you will get canned.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have some common sense. Give bonuses to the people who deserve it and not just to managers. Listen to your staff. Have staff reviews of managers themselves. Reward people fairly.
