I worked at Health Watch as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The company is large and there are a lot of good benefits, its a fun place to work with company events occurring frequently. The environment is very enjoyable compared to other places I've worked.

    Cons

The company seems to be slowly making mistakes and lots of budget cuts were made recently, job security is something in question.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on stability and promoting new subscriber growth. Sometimes budget cuts are needed, trimming the fat of a company is always an awkward thing.

I have been working at Health Watch full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

What I liked most about working there is WHAT THEY DO. The Lifeline service is an important service that helps people and really could be the difference between life and death

    Cons

It seems that when Philips acquired Lifeline Systems, they didn't quite know what to do with them. Philips had never been a 'service' company before, as opposed to a 'product' company. Lifeline was shifted, aligned, and re-aligned many times before finally settling, for now, as part of Philips Healthcare (Philips Home Monitoring).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do what you do best. While I understand the need to cut costs, my fear is that the labor reductions have those surviving employees running in too many different directions with no assistance. It won't be long before this affects quality, which could impact customers' lives.

I worked at Health Watch full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Excellent benefits. This is a great place for college students who needs employment to pay their bills because they are a 24/7 operation if you work as a monitor. I personally think the 11-7 am Sun-Thursday is best for students.

    Cons

The management is terrible. They are not flexible when you need to change your schedule due to family emergencies, child care or school schedule. So, be prepared to stick with the schedule you chose for at least a year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote those who do their jobs well and pay more money.
