  1. Nutrition Aide

I have been working at HealthEast

    Pros

Great pay for part time ($14.xx starting) and the hours are great, especially if you are in school (6:45-3:15 or 3:15-8:15). Shifts are also easy to pick up if you want extra hours due to being extremely short staffed daily. Convenient location.

    Cons

Poor management, difficult scheduling time off or trading with coworker, overworked because it is consistently understaffed. Every month management is adding duties to jobs, making the employee take on more and more, burning everyone out quickly. Management thinks they are better than employees, thus not helping out - will stand there criticizing you while all the employees are running around trying to get their dozen duties done. Most days you will not get breaks, barely getting your lunch.

    Advice to Management

They are unwilling to listen to employees, they speak poorly about others in front of peers (always makes you wonder, "do they say this about me?" Trying to get a day off is impossible - must fill all other openings before your trade will be approved (some days that meant finding 4+ employees to fill the openings). Very unprofessional management and they are always too busy to care about employees, thus never solving any problems that the department has.

    Pros

The only good thing i can say about healtheast, Its a job. Now i know why there's always an opening.

    Cons

Worse place Ive ever worked. I would never send anyone i care about to Healtheast. Its to bad cause the employees are actually really good.

    Advice to Management

The healthcare field is about people not numbers. Treat your employees better and you would have a great company. It would be great if management and admin cared as much about the patients as they do themselves.

    Pros

The ability to not take my work home with me.

    Cons

These employer review sites are a great idea. Obviously, the managers bad-mouthing them don’t agree, since it hinders their ability to get off on harassing and abusing their workers. They feel any worker who refuses to be a doormat is a disgruntled worker. If management strongly opposes it, then it must be good for workers.
Modern corporate mangers have become sadistic bullies who get a perverse pleasure out of harassing and threatening innocent working people who are struggling to make a living and support their families. They abuse ‘performance reviews’ as an excuse to harass, bad-mouth and even slander their people. After the employee leaves, they use the ‘reference’ system to continue harassing and slandering their ex-employees.
Management whines that employer review sites turn the tables and give innocent workers a chance to weed out bad and abusive employers. If you can’t take it, don’t dish it out.
Companies say only disgruntled employees complain when their boss abuses them. Get used to it, employer review sites are here to stay. A good employer treats its people right with fairness and honesty so they don’t become disgruntled. Complaints from disgruntled employees show that the employer is at fault, not the employees. If you don’t want workers calling you a bad boss, then don’t be a bad boss.

    Advice to Management

Carrot and stick motivational schemes may drive short term compliance, but they don’t work very well when it comes to increasing long term performance, retention, effort, endorsement, or even intentions to be a good organizational citizen.

    Pros

If time allows, co-workers can be fun to work with.

    Cons

Not an enjoyable hospital to work for once you realize how the company manipulates employees into overtly coercing them into promoting the company, if you like it or not. Manipulates employee's into participating in employee engagement survey's...using their employee IDs. Upper leadership, through the Human Resource department has certain employee's and departments participate (anonymously ??) in online company reviews, hoping they will give top ratings that are most popular.

    Advice to Management

Technology is a number one game changer!

    Pros

Great coworkers, team environment. Decent pay for part time employement.

    Cons

Hostile management team. Zero transparency in regards to policy changes or enforcement of discipline. When issues such as broken equipment was brought up in meetings, nothing was done to repair or replace it.
