    Pros

    This was probably the worst place I have ever worked

    Cons

    Poor structure. Nobody knew what they were doing. The merge with Cigna went terribly. Bad salary.

    File for bankruptcy

    Great benefits. Great team members to work with on projects.

    Cons

    Management does not hold integrity to be honest with employees or providers. Broken communication.

    Advice to Management

    Need to make sure management are accountable and availability for employees.

    I worked at HealthSpring full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    I worked their 3 yrs before Cigna acquired. I enjoyed the experience that I gained and loved the people that I worked with. Until, Cigna took over. Everything changed. Pay was not competitive and turn over was horrible.

    Cons

    No connection between departments..Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Your role changed frequently, usually stuck doing data entry because if the lack of qualified staff.

    Advice to Management

    Need management to show accountability. Management takes no responsibility and just leave their employees to fend fir themselves...

    Pros

    Was a great company to work for until Cigna purchased Had a great bonus structure prior to Cigna Upper management cared about the employees until Cigna

    Cons

    Cigna took over! Management is horrible, no communication, does not care about employees, no raises, no bonuses, belittled by management.

    Advice to Management

    Go back to Texas HealthSpring Work Ethics!

    Pros

    Work from home, plenty of overtime pay to be made

    Cons

    Some of the conditions required are a little much. Company seems to work harder and not smarter.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees...actively listen. Hire for experience and not for the "good ol' boy" politics.
