I have been working at Healthcare Scouts full-time for less than a year
Pros – Monday-Friday Job is beneficial
Nice office space and coffee/tea provided
Cons – Mandatory overtime that is not paid at what would be considered time and a half
Competition from managers also recruiting for same positions
Do not get paid if clients do not pay on time (after waiting already 30-120 days)
Three person submittal process before making to client is not efficient
Not truly interested in training people to be successful
Orders for jobs are not detailed enough to source effectively and not waste time/money
NO leads/candidates provided, must find own candidates with no help/ pay for postings with most sources
Pressure to make a certain amount of calls which takes away from being more efficient with time due to constantly being concerned about hitting call counts daily
At time of interviewing, very little of this was disclosed
Favoritism given to certain employees
Manager are NOT managers, they are only successful recruiters and therefore were promoted but do not effectively manage people
Job is truly more about luck the way the company is structures and less about effort and time put in
Unstable work environment, revolving door, people quit/fired daily
Place is in so much trouble that a 'consultant' has been hired to come in and evaluate the way things are being done
Very time consuming interview process ( Entire work day unpaid, 2 in person interviews, and 1 phone interview and an online assessment prior to being offered)
People hired are former bartenders/unrelated professions and do not really have professional experience
Must wait 30-120 days before being paid on a placement
No 401k contributions
Randomly chosen to be on a certain "team. No choice and this can be a challenge as some teams have much more niche jobs to work on and naturally less opportunity
Only younger, inexperienced people seem to be hired
Too picky on who is allowed to be submitted leads to thoughts of favoritism to certain employees
Not very flexible with personal appointments (Dr. Apts, etc)
No company phone, laptop, other resources to be able to work after hours effectively for other time zones
AS soon as I find another position, I will be leaving Healthcare Scouts and will not ever recommend them as a good place to work.
Advice to Senior Management – Fix all of the CONS and reevalute and restructure how you are running your business
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Healthcare Scouts as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – They provided me with contract assignments when I was between jobs.
Cons – - They do NOT communicate with their contractors. Once you are put into a position, you can forget about them looking out for your best interest, even if the company you are temping for is abusive. They are just trying to make dollars on your head. Multiple attempts to communicate with recruiter and they still don't provide critical information needed.
-They do NOT have their facts straight. i.e.- no clear information about job descriptions, hiring time frames or even at times, the correct company name!
-Make you feel like a number. Most agencies recognize that your satisfaction and performance is what keeps them in business and their reputation afloat. Most will even take the time to send a genetic holiday card or an acknowledgement over the holidays. They just send out timesheet reminders.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire recruiters that have their act together. Partner with better, more progressive businesses.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
