I worked at Healthcare Services Group full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Corporate set up with available resources. Upper management has a presence and willing accommodate the needs of the workers related to vacation coverage, support in the field if needed.

    Cons

Kitchen staff cuts to bare minimum which creates high turnaround secondary to increased work load and shorter hours. High turn around and continuity of care may suffer. Additional training needed which may not always be available.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Minimum wage jobs performed by loyal workers should have a bonus structures that encourage them not to call in. yearly 1500 dollar bonus to those who do not miss one day. each day missed cost them 150$ in bonus money. after ten days call in no bonus. Continuity of care is important especially when related to nutrition.

Good learning experience, bad company for mid to high level professionals. Company ran by used car salesmen.

    Pros

It's an okay paycheck but not great. You do have some managers who do support you but they are limited by micromanagement of others. Company does offer benefits however you must wait two years to get them (Account Manager).

    Cons

Underpaid for all positions except for District Managers on up. The less money and labor you use goes towards upper management's bonus. Unreal expectations of line workers because they are paid 7.25. Raises are far and few between and promises are made and are not fulfilled. Company ran by salesmen who could not run their program they preach to you. You have little supplies, little budget and too high demands. Upper management and the salesmen brag about the company and their potential but it is all smoke and mirrors. Administrators hate the company and culture. Company has no real assets so do not buy into its BS. If you need a job fine but if you are a professional the only way you love up is being the loop. Not to mention all the unnecessary paperwork and meetings. Lastly upper management, why don't you try and clean toilets with a tie on? Must be nice to enjoy those bonuses we bust our butts for for you to enjoy. You guys suck, period.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase your supply budget and pay employees better to compete with other companies. You cannot expect high your scores with 7.25 employees. Start paying account managers better with benefits and bonuses like upper management gets. Give managers more support because they are overworked. If you want administrators to like the company, stop the used car salesman approach and take care of business. Upper management stop using all the lower managers to take flak for you!

    Pros

Just ask anyone that have worked for Healthcare Services Group and the answer will be mostly the same, terrible company to work for

    Cons

The only system that works for them is to harass and intimidate employees and force them to work unrealistic job expectation for low pay and minimal benefits

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider that everything has a beginning a middle and an end. The only thing left for this company is the end

    Pros

The residents would be the only pros.

    Cons

District managers harass, lie, cheat you out of promises! Then HR is in on the act to so don't bother even trying to send a complaint to them! They will tell you it's anonymous but it's not what so ever! This company is horrible, and if your the lucky one who has the district manager that is sexist, and the administrator to the facility is a sexist! That's the worst time of your life ever!

    Pros

Met some very nice and interesting employees along the way.

    Cons

Treat you like crap, for 20,000- 30,000 a year for Account Manager is a joke. Let me say this again!!!!!!!! A complete joke...with all the stress and complaining one gets on a daily basis is ridiculous. Then working with short staffing is hilarious and expecting quality services for squirrel nuts is down right death defying, lets all stand in line at the Family and Children Services and get more respect then this company is offering. TRUST you will have a better chance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of telling us what we haven't accomplish, put away your ties and professional attires and get out on the floors and see what we go through from day to day. Being stress and over worked, under paid an being expected to do what our competitors is doing is a understatement.

    Pros

The residents and employees you manage

    Cons

The review about working for a Used Car Salesman is quite fitting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit banking on the fact that not too many people do their research before applying. Little honesty towards the facilities we run might be nice once in a while too.

    Awful experience all around.

I have been working at Healthcare Services Group

    Pros

if you smoke like a chimney....this is the job for you

    Cons

terrible treatment by the staff, not at all the "light housekeeping" that they claim for such a low rate of pay (not worth the pain), the manager is barely out of high school let alone her mummy & daddy's house, cannot manage her way out of a paper bag....It's a joke, plain & simple. If your idea of managing is simply showing up & going through several packs of cigarettes a day while texting, this is for you! If you are an honest, hard worker who simply needs to make money to provide for your family? good luck you are screwed.
