Pros
HCSG trains people for management positions, starting a career path for many. Promotions are based on work performance. Upper management treats their employees as people, not numbers.
Cons
This is a job for people who want to actually work to make a living. It is not for people who want to sit on their butt and point. As with all jobs, there are pros and cons, and it is all about what is best for each individual.
Advice to Senior Management
In MN, continue to treat your employees well. Communication is good. Continued education would be helpful to all positions, not just entry level.
Pros
Working for healthcare services group has been one of the best jobs that I have had in a long time. What makes it such a good job is that I get to work with a dynamic staff, great residents, and friendly people and have the support of my supervisors. It is truly like running your own business with disposal of a large company at your side.
Cons
Working for healthcare services group corp. has very few cons in my personal opinion. I have been working with them for almost a year now and have truly no complaints.
Advice to Senior Management
If you are self-motivated and have good management skills you will go far. Just keep the client happy and building moving in the right direction.
Pros
meeting new people that you are making comfortable in their last day in their new home
Cons
no communication to managers. No training for your employees. expect to much for the pay. promotions based on being part of the "click" or brown nosing the right people.
Advice to Senior Management
fire everybody and start over

Loyalty, opportunity, professionalism, great co-workers, administration & leadership
Cons
Benefits could be somewhat improved
Advice to Senior Management
Employee recognition could be improved
Pros
A job
A paycheck
Able to add management experience to resume
Not too hard to get a day off when you need it
Cons
No benefits to acct mgrs
Rediculous standards
Night projects constantly and expected to come to work early after being at your facility until 5 am
Advice to Senior Management
You get what you pay for.
Pros
Easy way to get management experience. Resume builder. Some honest hard working people working here.
Cons
Unrealistic expectations, low salaries, long hours, upper management is unreliable, false promises. Get it in writing.
Advice to Senior Management
I would offer it if they would take it, while working for them I learned that they will continue doing things the way they do despite the negative consequences simply because it works for them.
Pros
relationships with staff and residents
Cons
low pay
not compensated for long hours
benefits are no good
Advice to Senior Management
Compensate management accordingly for the work and hours they put in. It is a very easy job to become 'burnt out' with and very easy to lose motivation when you are not compensated in any way (money, praise, etc.).
Pros
-Helping out the elderly.
-Making a place feel like home for them that is away from home.
-Working in a team work atmosphere.
Cons
-Management has no support.
-Paper systems are used and no streamlined processes.
-Terrible way of learning and for a quick learner a better teacher would have paid off.
Advice to Senior Management
-Streamlined processes for a more efficient
-Terrible hiring process for what was involved.
-No uniformed management approach.
