    Pros

    Large companies have large staffs - which means one has the ability to focus on one's primary job. Great brand recognition and customers are almost always willing to talk to you.

    Cons

    Serious management mis-steps during the last 00s. Cut staff too late and cut the wrong folks. (I know - union rules - but still). Past success led to hubris and we all know what happens next - Nemesis. Seniority is great! If you have it. But it is not great for the company. Staff get reassigned to jobs they hate because the company had to fire the young person who once held that job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Management is finally getting its act together - cutting swathes of non-productive divisions. Get R&D to visit customers - not just concept customers but customers in far away places where majority of sales are made now.

    Pros

    Die Aufgabengebiete generieren interessante Aufgabenstellungen; Zum Teil viele Freiheiten, um die Aufgaben zu lösen. Bisher gute Altersversorgung, die jedoch bald gekürzt wird.

    Cons

    Undurchsichtige Entscheidungen auf Führungsebene; Schlechtes Management durch Vorgesetzte; Vorgesetzte haben oft keine Ausbildung zum Führen von Menschen und haben entsprechend keinerlei Befähigung, um Mitarbeiter zu führen.
