Great work life balance - plenty of holidays, 9 to 5, limited work outside of normal business hours, flexibility with working remote when needed
Good people to work with for the most part

    Cons

IT management is scatter brained and politically charged at times
Doesn't do a very good job at retaining talent
No training/certification/skills development built into HR model - If you decide to work here you're on your own, expense what you can!

    Pros

Salary was good; even during weak economies. Do your job well and you will be compensated nicely for it. A few good folks there.

    Cons

Bad attitudes; very cliquish; if you're not kissing important peoples' butts, you're considered a pariah; management didn't seem to care - acted as if they did, but when it came down to it, they'd throw you under the bus if it benefited them or their agenda.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start really listening to people; take the rules and apply them to each and every one. Don't pit the group together as a whole when something is being done incorrectly. Go directly to that person and take care of the matter - grow some!! If one person is allowed to do something, then everyone else should be able to do so too.

The executive placement experts find leaders who are as distinctive as the organizations they serve. They build deep relationships with the world’s most talented individuals to ultimately build winning executive leadership teams for premier organizations around the globe. I worked at Heidrick & Struggles full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Smart folks deliver a lot of excellent client work in spite of a culture where the consultants often exhibit signs of superiority.

    Cons

The backbone of the company -- its customer relationship management system (CRM) -- is built upon Salesforce.com software that hampers productivity. It works great for the back-office accounting side of the business but not on the client-facing side. Internal IT department is trying to fix the implementation with customized band-aids.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

New CEO helping to get the company back on course in spite of a lackluster board.
