    I worked at Heineken U.K. full-time

    Pros

    Working for an international company

    Cons

Too many politics and egos mixed together and decisions take a while to be made.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Mix around higher management get some new blood in, too many people are designing and working based on experience and whats worked for them in the past.

I have been working at Heineken U.K.

    Pros

Training courses readily available, People in general are friendly and professional. Nice office environment. Useful company intrenet with updates on progress, innovation, project work, vision and mission.

    Cons

Values are not embedded throughout the company and managers can shirk their responsibility to bring their teams on board with company wide initiatives. Different departments work in silos and some employees think it is ok to never answer emails or return calls. This makes getting the job done difficult. Some poor attitudes in Middle and more senior management and little value placed on dedication, loyalty and hard work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ensure all team members are contributing to team activity, embed a culture of honest 360 feedback without the fear factor. Get an understanding of what each person in your team does on a day to day basis in their job role. Actively performance manage team members who refuse to participate in team or company initiatives.

I worked at Heineken U.K. full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The office culture is inclusive. High quality professionals, hard working but friendly. Regular performance reviews and recognition of good performance by way of bonuses and other roles within the organisation.

    Cons

Salary, at least in Edinburgh location, not as competitive as other UK locations. Having said that, Edinburgh isn't such an expensive city.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get some better quality products, that will help with the margins.
