Pros
Very educated, smart, talented employees; highly motivated and analytical mindset is shared by all departments. Generally, a collegial and friendly culture, quite cosmopolitan and diverse with the noticeable exception of a lack of African Americans. People work hard here, but work smart with a positive, healthy attitude.
Cons
Hard work life balance, as non-work events (team building and promotional) are stressed and demanded. If you're not a drinker, do not even think of working here as embibing is encouraged and expected.
Advice to Senior Management
What's with all the offsite team building? Have you done any ROI analyses of these? For young adults (with children) this is a hardship.
Pros
developed great working relationships internally; ability to impact overall business was very good; very good benefits (beer allowance, medical/dental, 401k, etc), interaction/sharing among sales teams
Cons
lack of overall sustained training and organizational development not a top priority; no known succession planning in place; no patience to see initiatives through; leadership is under scrutiny; not willing or able to address reocurring issues affecting employees and customers
Advice to Senior Management
train mid level leadership on a consistent basis and balance the hiring outside the company; have patience with decisions to see them through; end the "one offs" which cascade down the organization and cripple the morale and productivity of employees which interact directly with forward facing customers
Pros
Employees are great to work with.
Cons
Management only cares about themselves and not their employees
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your employee's more instead of just the Management Teams.
Pros
Great global company with strong brands
Cons
Pressures of managing large portfolio

Pros
a great work enviroment, people are very helpful and the organizational structure is very informal. the salary is good and work is challenging
Cons
work load is too much, senior managment is not very competent, work hours are irregular in the finance department, the HQ district is not very safe
Advice to Senior Management
it is a must that you give the employees some guidance rather than asking for the impossible and leaving them to do it, appreciate what they do and tell them you are really appreciating it.
Pros
Great world wide company good people and benefits.
Cons
The past couple of years, lack of communication lead to an abundance of rumers. New President looks to be very communicative and respectful of what employees think.
Advice to Senior Management
Continue the new programs and follow though with what is being said.
Pros
Fun environment, good benefits, nice people, new management team.
Cons
Past management sucked. They didn't know what they were doing and ruined the culture.
Advice to Senior Management
Create more opportunities for employees.
Pros
Free beer, nice people, great benefits, good location, opportunity to travel, interesting industry, opportunities to move within the company, generally good people to work with.
Cons
Frustrating upper management and unfair treatment of workers during restructuring. Lack of communication, disorganization, recurring issues not addressed leading to repeated mistakes.
Advice to Senior Management
Communicate with your workers. A more transparent management team that acts democratically will have more support from the people you depend on. Don't waste money on fancy meetings, funnel it back to the business instead and reinvest it in your workforce.
Pros
Great people and great benefits. Fun at times. Proud heritage of the family and great brands. Big company, small company feel at times. Charity events, fun activities involve employees. Good review system with bi-annual reviews with your leaders and goal tracking for bonus goals.
Cons
Poor communication from management on all levels. Sneaky behavior behind the scenes, saving face up front. Vague answers to important questions like the future of the company or the stability of your job. Feeling of "no one is safe" around the corporate office because of the questionable behavior of management.
Advice to Senior Management
The management team really needs to bring the culture back to where it was/should be. It has become so concerned with meeting numbers that the importance of people has been lost. The employees feel totally disconnected from the company happenings. If you don't comply with decisions you will be forced out. It's become a culture of fear and backstabbing.
