I have been working at HelpSTAR full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Most people that work for HelpSTAR are great. I was made to feel at home as soon as I joined and I made a couple of good friends that we hang out with even on our time off. I work regular hours ( with some flexibility), i never had to work overtime.

    Cons

Once or twice a year I have to work on a statutory holiday because of our US clients. But I get off a day of my choice instead, so it works out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More parties.

I have been working at HelpSTAR full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

My team mates are friendly and supportive. We celebrate other team members birthday. Social "lunch and learns" are held on regular basis. Clients seem to be loving the new release. Life is good. LG.

    Cons

Occasionaly have to be flexible with work hours to accommodate a client in a different time zone, but that is pretty rare.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

come up with more social activities

    I worked at HelpSTAR

    Pros

Salary was good, benefits pretty standard. The product was interesting and I learned something new every day. Generally a fun place to work, and I was kept pretty busy.

    Cons

One of the elevator was out of service for a few months. Nothing major.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have more formal training process with specific goals and feedback.

    I worked at HelpSTAR full-time

    Pros

Good benefits including dental, prescriptions, glasses, and all the normal stuff. Very pleasant and helpful team. They guided me along initially and helped train me. I couldn't take advantage of company-paid educational benefits because of family commitments, but it was available to me.

    Cons

If you like working downtown you miss the hustle and bustle and the amazing selection of restaurants, but living in the burbs, it cut down more than an hour on my daily commute.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A company sponsored family picnic in the summer would be nice.

I worked at HelpSTAR full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I started there when my husband was transferred to a different location. It was close to my house so the location was ideal. The salary was good and the benefits were pretty standard. The atmosphere was very friendly, but the manager was not a huge fan of idle chatter.

    Cons

Having to deal sometimes with impatient clients. But this is not different than what I experienced in other service oriented jobs. You just can't please all the folks all the time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Structure work so that there is always something to do so there is not temptation for idle chatter.
