I have been working at Henkel as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Henkel Scottsdale is located in a great area, the employees are friendly, and the work is interesting! As a intern I felt welcomed and important.

    Cons

There is a clear hierarchy at Henkel that makes it more difficult to make progress on projects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Perhaps allow employees more freedom to explore their ideas without always asking permission.

I worked at Henkel full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Opportunities for career growth. Benefits and host of other corporate perks. Responsibilities are isolated allowing you to gain expertise in a specific field. Large company with a lot of resources allow your business unit to remain competitive, in turn offering stability.
Excellent execution at all levels of organization. Very challenging goals and responsibilities provide meaningful employment.

I helped a friend get a job here and encouraged many of my other friends to apply.

    Cons

Sometimes feels like its too big and communicating with other business units is challenging. Company promotes the produces but there is a need to be somewhat 'political'.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut the bureaucracy and execute faster.

I have been working at Henkel as a contractor (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent leadership at this company. I felt I had 100% support of management and marketing. Interested in growing the business and customer relationships. There is an emphasis on customer training and being a solutions provider. Very little if any product quality issues which makes your job easier.

    Cons

Company would benefit for a more formalized training process for new reps.

Former Employee - Receptionist S&H in Irvine, CA

I worked at Henkel full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Loved working there. I was given a chance as a receptionist and had no prior experience as a receptionist. I enjoyed my 4 years with S&H. The skills I have learned have prepared me for other jobs. I am really sorry that I was unable to relocate with the company when they relocated from Irvine to Culver City. They provided training and experience.

    Cons

    I can't think of anything.

I worked at Henkel as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Very relaxed atmosphere, if you say you're going to do something they let you do it and will provide guidance if necessary. No micromanagement, they trust that you will do your job.

Your position within the company mattered, but if you have a good idea brought up in a meeting, upper management will seriously consider it (if it has good merit)

    Cons

I don't have any bad things to say, I loved working there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep it up guys!
