    I worked at Henkel

    Pros

Good health insurance, ok salaries. Some really great people work here.

    Cons

No training opportunities, no management feedback, bickering between departments, megalomanic managers. Not a fun place to work. Hourly people sometimes asked to work without pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should pay more attention to people they are managing, less about the bottom line. People are unhappy, and will unionize if things don't improve.

    I worked at Henkel

    Pros

    Competitive salary structure
    Competitive bonus, benefits
Introduced flex time year-round and telecommuting
    Modern, open concept work environments

    Cons

    - leadership at a local level has no influence with headquarters.
    - performance is reviewed annually and tied to a rating which is tied to a very complicated bonus structure. Many known cases where ratings are scored lower than actual so as to ensure top bonus achievement is not met.
    - a mindset that sales come at ALL costs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

What is your succession plan? Look around, top executives are clearly part of a 'job protection' program!
