    Pros

No chance for growth and development unless your related to a VIP, Manager or Supervisor and if your really good at sucking up. It's not what you it's a who you know whole at HFHS If you have a degree you still have a challenge with promotions do to the good old boys buddy system.

I have been working at Henry Ford Health System full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

As patient, the care was every good. If I had a problem it was quickly addressed and solved. I received all meals and meds in a timely fashion. Any concerns or question I or my children had about my treatment was thoroughly explain.

    Cons

As an employee , I feel there not enough educational opportunities like they haves for the doctors and nurses. They care more about the common areas ( patients rooms, nurses desk and hallways) being clean and up to parang not enough about the behind the scenes rooms ( the break rooms ( the floors are beyond dirty)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat the employees as well as you treat the patients. Show as much concern for our well being as you do for the patients you want us to care off.

I worked at Henry Ford Health System full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great work recognition, I worked within women's health in the New Center One building for Henry Ford. We had a great team and everyone was a team player.

    Cons

The traffic was very irritating driving down to DéTroit every morning. Henry ford seems to eliminate position and out work on others with compensating with pay. The pay is among the lowest in the healthcare industry compared to St. John, Beaumont, and DMC.

I have been working at Henry Ford Health System full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Able to interact with clinicians and clinical oriented research staff

    Cons

Limited resources for training. Long hours of work and sometimes to come to work even if there is statewide weather alert[i.e. snow storm). No money to buy software yet asked to work using a pirated version. There are really rude and mean people works here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I thought people working in a reputable hospital works there because they really care about people. As far as I know, there are only a handful of them, the rest are just self-oriented, obnoxious, bullies with big brain but no heart.
