    New projects happening all the time. Good work/life balance. Great people to work with

    Can get hectic. Needs some more processes in place but they are getting there

    Pros

    One of the best places I have worked at to make life long connections with clients and employees. Was able to learn a massive amount of knowledge in terms of marketing approaches and sale approaches and what works and what doesn't. Learned how a genuine approach always gave me a better edge than the salesy tactic that HM really exploits.

    Cons

    Difficult life work balance, clients suffering from more than just "weight gain" goes beyond coaches ability to help. Poor upper management and people at the front line are given to little to no tools to help explain or overcome objections when clients are unsatisfied. Management claims "new and exciting" promos when they are just old recycled ones, poor at displaying a professional approach to weight loss, more of a cheesy game approach. No transparency within the company and employees who are hitting exceptional goals are given no recognition.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I would have said "listen to the people", but seeing as they just filed for bankruptcy protection and their debts exceed their assets with plans to close stores and cut the # of staff and still run an "effective" business seems pointless now to change things.
    advice to consumers: do your research, ask q's and at the end of the day a healthy diet, exercise, vitamins and a life coach will probably suffice

    Pros

    The clients are the best part of this job. Helping them achieve their goals.

    Cons

    Sneaky upper management
    Poorly trained area managers
    The almighty dollar is all that matters
    High turnover (but no one looks to upper management)
    Understaffed (one staff per center)
    No breaks, no lunches.
    Time off is barely approved and it's stressful to be sick for a day
    No recognition when your clients reach their goals. Told to replace them for more dollars
    No advancement opportunity unless you are a puppet

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    If this company Continues to only care about dollars, it will continue to be a sinking ship. You need to start caring more about the health and well being of your front line staff. They are the ones making you the money. Not the excessive amounts of area managers who sound like repetitive parrots. You need to be more aware of what is happening in centers. They need to be staffed. They need encouragement and recognition. The majority of the employees are unhappy and that is why there is high turnover.

    Pros

    Descent training program for new employees and good resources when more information is necessary. Program structure is pretty good

    Cons

    Short staffing thus working 9-10 hrs a day with no overtime and no lunch breaks, extreme pressure from higher management. Only focused on selling to clients and how much money you can get out of them. No opportunity for advancement unless you are buddies with the higher management. Lots of random promotions all over the place with no focus. Very high costs of programs with no low cost options for lower income people.

    The higher management should look into what is going on at the centre level. Employees are overworked, underpaid and thus the employee retention is very low. If they want to grow their business they should look at the face of their business and make sure that their centre directors and personal health coaches are happy.

    Pros

    Great place to work if you can achieve your goals/targets. Must be articulate and want to help others achieve weight loss goals. Discounts on program are offered to employees! Program works and it's fantastic!

    Cons

    They force you to push really hard to get the sales and it takes some focus off of the clients. Difficult work/life balance. Lots of pressure.

    Pros

    Because of lack of Training you are forced to learn Many Aspects of the Business on your Own ( If that really is a Pro)

    #1 is changing lives.....The accountability you give you clients really does give them what they need to succeed

    Cons

    Area Managers are Under Qualified and Selfish in their Goals.
    No Breaks most days due to Lack of staff and /or high pressure from Management.
    Emails do not stop asking for sales updates and scorned when goals are not met.
    No direction is given when Goals are not met.
    Overall negative enviroment if Budget is not hit.

    This is not health and wellness it Is Retail Sales...PERIOD!!

    Very misleading

    Stick with a Francishee for employment, they are not driven with an Iron fist of a Corporation.

    Harrassment goes un investigated properly

    Clean out Head Office of All Former Pompous Upper Management that aided in it's decline to begin with. Isn't that why The last CEO moved out of position!!

    Disorganized, they expect alot for 11.00 an hour, you are constantly calling your clients irritating them.

    Pros

    Helping clients with weight loss was the only pro, aside from Benefits after 6 months.

    Cons

    Long hours, often without breaks or lunches due to being understaffed
    High turnover of employees
    Upper management very unorganized
    Training for PHC and CD is not sufficient and can lead to personal liability
    Job description is completely false upon initial interview
    Empty promises from management
    Constant high pressure sales

    I would not recommend this company to a friend or family member.

    The company should revolve around about helping clients, not taking their money.
