I have been working at Herbalife part-time for less than a year

    Pros

A wonderful way to start on the journey of entrepreneurship. You are building your business with proven methods as well as helping others to become healthy. The products are wonderful and work.

    Cons

The preconceived ideas that are harbored about multilevel marketing and the company in general.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

New distributors need contact with their up-line and guidance. You must send the message that new distributors are not just a number.

I have been working at Herbalife full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Very international company with operations in 88 countries. Good exposure to other countries and cultures.

    Cons

Lots and lots of uncompensated overtime which seems to be the criteria for promotions. Experience gained at Herbalife may not be easily transferrable because of the unique business model and outdated business practices. Quality of corporate staff is weak in comparison to other companies of similar size in the Los Angeles area.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Internal systems and processes are very outdated compared to other companies in the Los Angeles area. HR department could be improved.

I have been working at Herbalife part-time for more than a year

    Pros

You will meet amazing people and lose weight.

    Cons

You have to invest hours of work for a small amount of pay. The people that are successful in this company are either sponsored or have a huge social network to pull from...I.e. they are an athlete or famous. They will try to convince you that working for Herbalife has tons of perks like residual income, paid vacation, employee discounts.... There is a small % of health coaches that qualify for these perks, but the majority will never get there. If you have bills that need a stable income to get paid, this isn't for you. They'll make you feel bad for not making them a priority when all you want is to put food on the table.

I have been working at Herbalife full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very good benefits (monthly discount off health insurance with the wellness program) and perks like free gym with classes. Encourages exercise and healthy living with exercise and nutrition classes. Free Spanish language classes. Casual dress/work environment. Really friendly people at all levels of the company.

    Cons

Probably the same as at any large public company- lots of procedure for even simple tasks. "Lifers" who have been at the company forever make forward progress hard in some departments.

    I worked at Herbalife

    Pros

    Great benefits, pay and bonus.

    Cons

not intellectually stimulating. Cronyism is rampant in this company. You can move up to a VP and country manager if you started as a administrative assistant or if you are a part of the boys club. Rewarded for playing politics not doing a good job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward actual talent and work, people want to do a good and be challenged.
