I have been working at Herbalife

    Pros

They have great skin care product and meal replacement items. Pretty good system and information for losing or gain weight.

    Cons

    - Cult like culture
    - Get push to the side if you are not really 100% in to it.
    - Most supervisors lack real leadership skills.
    - It's repetitive when it comes to supervisors just regurgitating information and not truly understanding what they are saying.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend some more time to actual know what you are trying to sell and don't just regurgitate information.

    I worked at Herbalife full-time

    Pros

Reasonable hours. Ok pay, not great but not insulting. Non-management people are hardworking, dedicated, and talented.

    Cons

Uninformed and unorganized middle management. Little to no room for advancement, unless you happen to be friends with one of those managers. Company tends to be embroiled in controversy - google it for yourself.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house in the middle. But they'll never do it. Middle managers are dug in deep.

Work Life Balance has improved significantly
Strong recruitment of talent; HR support
Continual leadership training for managers; supported and initiated by HR
Good pay and benefits--other perks for family members as well (wellness, discounts..)
Was sad to leave but was re-locating to different part of the country due to personal reasons.

    Cons

Could be more recognition for major accomplishments--company moves very fast. You need to really keep up with the pace.

I worked at Herbalife as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

It's great that you get to help people reach their health goals and build quality relationships with your clients. Ideally, you want them to join your team and grow together as business partners. The message of good health and wealth is great.

    Cons

It's very very competitive and the market became very saturated. You have live, eat, and breathe sales at ALL times. I didn't like having to take my work with me everywhere I went.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to focus of building leadership skills and teaching people to become great and effective leaders.
