Good company to work for in the past, since Ford spin-off, Senior Management was too demanding and cut too much.

    Pros

There were a lot of good people at Hertz who worked together as a team. Company was proactive in trying to beat the competition. Some nice perks for middle management and higher level employees.

    Cons

Senior management tried to make too many changes too quickly without understanding the potential consequences. Management often ruled by intimidation creating undo stress among employees. Management kept utilizing consultants who generally were paid to tell management what they wanted to hear. Kept creating new management positions with minimal internal promotions. Health benefits were decreasing.

    Advice to Management

Listen to mid-level managers who have better insight into the business issues and concerns. Identify talent and promote from within more.
