    Pros

    The manager and my coworkers were great. The district manager was willing to pitch in and help when needed, including cleaning cars.

    Cons

    Low pay, 10 dollars an hour. For the amount of work and resolving customer issues, it was not worth the brain strain. Many times customers would make a reservation and we had NO car when they arrived.

    Advice to Management

    Get your operational issues under control. Fleet allocation was deficient.

    Pros

    Free car no gas or insurance to worry about

    Cons

    Work crazy hours even required to take work home . No work life balance. Horrible customers to deal with.

    Get more involved instead of sitting behind a desk

    Pros

    started out as a fun , exciting job.....until

    Cons

    Getting paid is a flip of the coin. everybody quits because management is so incompetent. CEO Mark Frissora left company amid financial irregularities. Lower level managers take out their frustration on workers beneath them. No support whatsoever. customers show up and no cars available. Reservations aren't worth the paper they are printed on. Everybody and every branch looks out for themselves. Pay is a joke , mostly because you don't get paid what you are owed and then have to listen to BS excuses. Cars that have no business being on the road rented to customers. No HR rep to go to because they also constantly quit. All in all the biggest joke of a company I have ever worked for

    Get a clue , you have area managers and general managers who have absolutely no idea what they are doing or what they are talking about......and none of you care !

    Pros

    Hertz offers a lot to their employees including benefits and paid time off and they even pay you to have your birthday off. There is also a lot of opportunity to move around inside of the company since they are global.

    Cons

    The only con is that the shift bids are based on seniority and not on production so there is a chance that you might get a shift that you don't like but there is more than one way to swap out of that shift and they usually try to work with you and accommodate you.

    I worked at Hertz full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Benefits and experience easy to move up. Incentives for positive reviews.

    Cons

    Management doesn't care. Once you are salary plan on working 6 days a week at least. Oh you are sick work any way. Can't hire enough people to properly staff stores. Management is not realistic. Read the article that has Hertz as the 4th worst employer that will tell you the truth

    Advice to Management

    Be realistic. Remember what it is like to staff a branch. If you can't remember go work in one for a week. A busy understaffed one. Undercover boss has a great idea just expand on it. Treat people how you would want to be treated.

    Pros

    I was lucky enough to have a position in Gold choice at phx,az. I love being able to move with freedom, and interact with the customers on a level playing field. Best part of the job was not being chained to a counter or phone.

    Cons

    The managers from top down have become less supportive, less human, they stopped treating the employees like valuable assets and more like uneducated monkeys. the phx location has always been chaotic. Who ever came up with the design for the uniform was not considering the type of customers that are dealt with at certain locations with higher end cars and customers.

    Advice to Management

    Remember that the non-management staff is your front line support. We see the customers first, we try to take care of their needs and issues before it even gets to you. We take quite a bit of abuse from some customers. As managers you need to support us first, remember our job is already stressful stop adding to it. Finally we deserve respect from you as much as you deserve it from us.

    Long term family and friends made while working 16 years. Excellent benefits and superiors listen to your ideas for improvement.

    Nothing I'm just sad to leave the company.
