Pros
good resources in terms of internet, research papers and subscriptions
Cons
lack of agility, employees have the room to become complacent
Pros
Work life balance, good learning, experience includes working with international colleagues, exposure to different cultures. Challenging assignments and projects. Good benefits, training, internal movement horizontally. Rich history, brandname and strong resilient background of the company.
Cons
Career growth opportunities are limited. Some teams have internal politics. Has a culture of over dependence on manager only appraisal, without taking in to account other other types of feedback. Salary is not benchmarked with the best in industry.
Advice to Senior Management
Have 360 degree feedback and appraisal, reduce politics in the teams. Senior management need to be more sensitive. Company lacks clear direction in 2011.
Pros
Good projects
Nice managers
Flexible timings at work
Cons
Should have a good road map for future
Advice to Senior Management
Keep going
Pros
open culture, Management by Walking Around, Great work life balance
Cons
career path growth plans need to focus
Advice to Senior Management
focus on the experieced employees and try to retain them
Pros
NO strict office timings(though few managers insist), NO strict dress code, Work environment is great
Cons
Salary sucks and HP does nt pay to existing employees and instead hires new candidates paying much above the existing employees.
Your career is defined by Manager, if you dont have a good rapport with him/her..he can even say u have nt worked at all since last 1 year and screw up at the end and you will be dumbfolded, since there s no proper system to track ur work and reviews about ur manager is just a formality and on papers
Advice to Senior Management
Have a transparent system which can assess the employee in the organisation instead of giving control to Managers. They are not gods to decide a person s capabilitiies. And also mind it there are a lot of inefecient managers as well
Pros
I am commenting about HP STSD. Good for people who want a settled life like Government job.
Diversity given importance
Cons
Very few challenges at work. Sr. management has built empire with its own people, others not welcome. All that matters is how connected you are in the organization
Advice to Senior Management
Please respect merit
Pros
Good salary.
Good additional benefits , like bonus , wfh , flexible timings.
product based , so no need to think about relocation for client.
Cons
Difficult work life balancing specific to my project.
HP is not a transparent in all policies and processes.
Very insecure job though employee performs well.
This seems typical USA company. any time it dares to give pink slip.
Advice to Senior Management
give confidence to employee wrt job and work.
This seems typical USA company. any time it dares to give pink slip.
