HP does not invent anymore. Senior managers are investment bankers who know nothing about engineering or people.

    Hardware Engineer (Current Employee)
    Bristol, England (UK)

ProsThe people who I work with. We've been very productive for 10+ years.

ConsLong term employees feel more and more unwelcome. Based on some of the reviews I've seen, a lot of newcomers think we are dead wood, excuse me, does your business make 100's of millions of profit per year with only about 300 employees? We used to be prepared to do anything for OUR company. Now I find myself thinking, what's in it for me? I have no incentive to perform for Marks company. We don't get to share in the success. Pay average salaries, you get average people. In the old HP, average people didn't get in the door.

It used to mean something working for HP. Now you are just warm bodies making money for the senior execs. The execs make the most personal gain from stock options so they will do ANYTHING to get the share price up even if it's for short periods to line their pockets. Cutting costs, compensation to the bone.

No base pay rises, salary scales are lies. I'm not kidding, I'm not exaggerating. I truly believe that HP want lots of people to leave.

It's all short term, no recognition, constant eroding of benefits. No base pay awards, always excuses to cut things. DON'T come to work at HP, the name is the only thing that's left.

Mark is obsessed with controlling salary expenses but buys a company that almost doubles the headcount. I can only see more erosion of benefits in the future.

Advice to Senior ManagementLook after your employees, they ARE the company. You are pushing us way too far..

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
