low salary. no holidays. No proper desk to work .

Got to see how a large company functioned, this being my first real internship. There was a very clear management structure and my team was very supportive.
Cons
Can get the feeling you are 'just a number', and sometimes you feel a disconnect with respect to upper management.

A silo version of Product Management. Lack of engineering vision and innovation.

You can work with some excellent professionals who have a great work ethic and dedication to their role.

Easy to be anonymous given the lack of physical work places and the sheer size of the operation.
Advice to Senior Management
Focus on core competencies.
Pros
work from home flexibility
professional growth opportunities
some really excellent people to work with
interesting work and some opportunity to choose projects to work on
Cons
pay raises pretty close to non existent. Mgmt hopes same annual bonus each year keeps you happy
HP strives that each benefit be "market average". Average in every benefit = less than average across all benefits.
workload can be quite heavy. Nobody thinks twice of 6 PM meetings and some are genuinely surprised if you can't make a Saturday meeting
promotions seem very hard to come by. internal transfers almost always can't contain a promotion element because that represents an unfair advantage for the hiring manager. HP seems more willing to hire a stranger for the higher position than promote from within.
Advice to Senior Management
more communication is needed from senior mgmt. Meg started out with regular communication but now we don't hear much.
Pros

Professional
Stress-free environment
Cons
Low Salary
Low Appraisal
Need slight improvement in management
Advice to Senior Management
Increase package level
Pros
Good exposure and knowledge gathering.
Cons
Low salary and remuneration with limited budget available to a team.
