Pros
HP china is runing and operating gloablly, must think globally and act locally. Better for fresh graduates to learn and grow.
Cons
business model in HP is complex and unclear, meanwhile the strategy in enterprise service business unit are not well defined.
Pros
Great management, market leader, great products
Cons
very large company, making it less nimble and able to react to change
Advice to Senior Management
Too many ideas and products suffer from being the company being too large and all encompassing. We acquire great technology, only to have it die here. I am not just talking about webOS, however it is a great example, but other things like LeftHand, Colubris, 3PAR, 3COM, and dozens of other niche products that lose their inherent advantages and lose the people and resources that made them great. We could do much better in this area.
Pros
Relaxed - you'll have time to learn on the job
Cons
No design leadership/mentorship
Places many designers on contract and disregards their personal and career development
High turnover rate and low morale
Pros
Stable place to work without the real fear of being let go. Nothing at HP (Enterprise Services) was stressful and the work was not difficult. This would be a great job if you just didn't care and wanted a place to spend 6, 7 or 8 hours a day. The best part of working for HP was the ability to print photos for free.
Cons
Dull, boring, work environment. Poor top-level leadership; every week we'd get emails about all the new Vice Presidents we were hiring or promoting. The message from the top was disjointed and inconsistent. EDS offered better benefits and opportunities for growth.
Advice to Senior Management
Stay exactly where you are and don't acquire any new companies, ever. This will guarantee that our paths will never again cross and I won't be subject to your malaise or incompetence or both.
Pros
good resources in terms of internet, research papers and subscriptions
Cons
lack of agility, employees have the room to become complacent

Pros
work life balance, work from home option, flexible
Cons
No career growth. no promotions
Pros
HP is a large company with plenty of training and advancement opportunities. the abilty to telecommute awith HP is a plus as well.
Cons
with HP, promotions will not always result in pay increases. other negatives recently with working at HP is employee morale, due to leadership changes and leader mismanagement.
Advice to Senior Management
go back to the "HP way" of running the company; treat employees with respect and reward them on par with other leading IT companies.
