Pros
Dynamic, full of opportunities in several areas, globally consistent, fair with employees and recently trying to find its identity and secure market leadership.
Cons
Benefits were cut down... Burocratic, slow sales compensation, Reactive to promote and give raises, and confusing when explaining overall strategy.
Pros
Older people are employed so you don't need to be a 20 something to fit in...no sense of urgency so you can have regular hours as long as you get your job done in a timely manner. Good people. Politics seems to be at the higher levels which makes it easy to be a good team member with your colleagues.
Cons
Not much information is passed down from upper management. Schedules are not very aggressive. Depending on what division you are working in there is no sense of job security.
Advice to Senior Management
Good Luck! Figure out your business strategy!
Pros
Best asset of the company is it's people, and there are great guys working here, really high class professionals. Team spirit is good and generally open. You'll get the chance to work for big companies with big environments and to learn a lot overall.
Cons
Limited Technical career path development opportunities - don't mix it with the availability of options to improve your skills, it's there. However options to follow up technology path are few after you reach Deep Tech. Support level or similar.
Senior and Mid management competence is sub-par. No real leadership provided.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire some experienced Senior managers for the delivery center in Sofia we could learn from. Focus on putting the right people in right places. Try to show the people they're important.
Pros
The brand name of company.
Cons
Managers are not fully supportive of your long term goals.
Advice to Senior Management
Take proper time to train employees.
Pros
With management in flux HP is a more relaxed employee environment.

Will not recognize employee contributions
Advice to Senior Management
Start building employee relationships to leverage market pursuits.
Pros
Great employees to work with..
Cons
Too much outsourcing with no notice.
Advice to Senior Management
More communication
Pros
Stable
Flexible work hours
Car policy
Training
Leader in IT
Cons
Not the best in terms of salary
Pros
The pay is pretty good coming in as entry level.
Cons
No teamwork, if everyone work together more can get done.
Pros
IPG is focused on employee engagement and has partnered with Gallup to implement a strengths based culture of development for employees. There are good opportunities available to those who want to advance their careers. HP now encourages regular job rotation (if desired by the employee) which is a huge improvement over the past.
Cons
HP continues to chase stock price instead of value and it shows in the goals and objectives of the senior leadership. We're penny wise (pinching the benefits of employees) and still pound foolish (spending billions of dollars buying companies that don't align to HP's core business competence -- e.g. Palm, WebOS and Autonomy).
Advice to Senior Management
Decide what HP is great at and stick to it. Develop our core businesses to be the best in the world. Look to creating great products and customer experiences -- what HP used to stand for. We have great employees and can accomplish these things again, but they must be a focus from senior leadership, not just lip service.
Pros
great management, fun work environment, room for raises, great hours, great vacations, great co-workers, great hours, great pay, and great bosses
Cons
A fast paced learning curve with new products can be stressful at time, sometimes I have to take work home and study over things on the weekends
Advice to Senior Management
Try to be more helpful when new features come out and be sure to answer all the questions in a detailed manner
