    Pros

Great people in ES work is rewarding

    Cons

Management needs a wake up call. Instead of working for the client management thinks client works for HP.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake and realize that when you are being paid to provide services that they dont make the choices the customer does.

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good legacy co-workers from Compaq. Great reputation of products and services to bring to the marketplace.

    Cons

Immediate managment was under great pressure and as a result there was zero work life balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house from the ground up not the top down. There were far too many situations were some big shot climbing the ladder instituted a program that was innefective and distruptive to the customer experience with almost no apparent value to the company. Listen to the people in the trenches. We actually know what we're doing and what the customer is thinking. Hard to believe I know.

I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Work/Life balance is the best perk with management on staff.
    Solid team to work with.
Perks of the job are pretty sweet.
Consistent and stable (on current account, so it seems...)

    Cons

    Competitive salary, whats that?
    The word raise is non-existent.
More work than when started, with no promotion/raise ever in sight.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show employees you wish to retain them by rewarding them for their excellent work. Consistent reviews with excellent ratings followed by zero salary change / title change shows a lack of growth potential.

    Pros

HP has a good work-life balance. I've never had any problem getting time off if it was suddenly required. Compensation is fair and bonuses are possible.

    Cons

Goal setting and achievement can be arbitrary at times and seem more like busy work than a productive exercise

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Large, well established company with household branding and name recognition.

    Cons

Current turnaround is confusing and leading to knowledge drain at the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Market share is a result of your activities in the market, not something you can go out and get. Focus more on he customer and the quality and the market share will come on its own.

    Cons
