    Confused

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsThere are some very hardworking, knowledgeable and dedicated people at this company and the company is truly trying to turn itself around.

ConsA sense of direction has not filtered down to employees and the fact that the announced lay offs (27,000) are coming in phases of a period of years has leached the life out of the employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementFinish the lay offs now and start the building.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Avoid at all costs

Sales Representative (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsHP has a long legacy of products and services
Plenty of training to be taken to help you with your Job

    ConsConstant pressure from senior management
You will always be threatened with your Job starting as soon as 2 months
Businesses are very siloed and the units do not work together to win business
No one can tell you where to go for help. In most cases you have to call between 5-7 people

Advice to Senior ManagementThe best way to sum this up is a website was created so people could submit trouble areas to the management team. It was suppose to remain open for 30 days after 5 days and 83,000 submissions the site was shut down.

    Just don't....

Sales Representative (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsThere are a few good people there (less than 5% of the total population of the company though). There are some opportunities to learn from some long time participants in the computer/tech industry.

ConsVery poor management (even under Meg). Poor product offerings, lack of innovation. Mediocre compensation (at best).

Advice to Senior ManagementPay for quality people. Stop promoting political hacks. Try producing a product people want to buy and look more than 1 quarter ahead. Stop managing by spreadsheets.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
