    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time

    Pros

Great training was provided on the job. The managers were excellent. Learnt a lot from peers as well as leaders.

    Cons

The growth may be stalled if you are not aggressive about where you want to be in your career ladder.

I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Very good work life balance. Lots of opportunities within the company to rotate for. Culture is good. Most people are easy to work with, but a few could be hard and more stereotyped. Not a lot of young employees.

    Cons

Teams are located around the world. Lots of early morning meetings. Recently the company changed its work from home policy - no more work from home, which is disappointing considering the early morning meetings we need to do.

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

HP was a very well paying company and gave an individual freedom to do within their current job or seek other job alternatives within the company. As far as HP Networking, HP was very creative in customizing the network hardware to meet the client requirements

    Cons

In the four years, most of the people were waiting for their pink slips. Because of servers making up a significant amount of sales, I felt HP was hesitant in entering new ventures. The HP Network purchase was one of their true exceptions

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Adding personnel to focus on many more clients. Have an active sales and consulting force that can work with client on understanding their business. Understanding those needs will help HP secure more business

I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good training opportunities, as long as I don't book travel. Positive work culture. Many great events through out the year.

    Cons

Inefficients with immediate and middle managers. Little opportunity for growth. Pay is lower than outside. Bureaucracy around process control. Job stability concerns with the constant organizational changes year over year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's agile scrum, so trust the team to deliver value while preserving work-life balance.

I worked at Hewlett-Packard as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Great people to work with, challenging job, the ability to give commercial briefings to VP of sales and directly impact a Business Unit was phenomenal!

    Cons

Salary was fixed, and not as competitive as other Fortune 15 companies. Didn't know half the people I worked with, because they teleworked or lived in another state. Analytics were quite intensive if you aren't prepared on how to do it.
