    Pros

Working with this company is fun. Provide lot of support for career improvement. Provides a wide collections of best practices. Keeping up all international standards.

    Cons

It P is a project focused company. Once the project is over and when you are under Work Force Reduction options are less for relocation.

I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits are great. 3 weeks of vacation every year regardless of when you start.

    Cons

Everyone is so worried about being laid off, new ideas and processes are thrown in every week. Working on the manufacturing floor, there is no standardization. Your surrounded by people kissing butt and even higher ups worried about their own jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop with trying to build moral with silly stunts and just tell people what's really going on.

I worked at Hewlett-Packard as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Comfortable working environment, great team members. I didn't really feel like pressed, instead of kinda want to work on some of the cool stuff.

    Cons

The food court was somewhat below average. Lots of cross-continental conferences, sometimes it takes two working days to get feedback from an overseas team leader.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on those long distance meeting schedule, sometimes low level employees feels disrespected, since the meeting could change anytime.

    I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time

    Pros

Working from home was encouraged. The staff are HPs greatest asset.

    Cons

Salary is poor and rarely reviewed. Yearly bonuses are a waste of time and the whole performance review process is simply a tick in the box exercise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep your decent staff by paying decent rates

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Ability to work from home, benefits package is good, some amazingly talented people work there!

    Cons

Work life balance is non-existent. Work from home for many equates to 70 hour work week. Manager's change with the wind many of which are micro-managers. Products are just ok, need to breath new life into them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Implement a biannual manager's trainging series. Just because someone has years of experience in their field doesn't qualify them to lead others.

    Pros

When looking at a promotion HP is one of the few companies that determines a promotion based on your overall performance.

    Cons

"ONE HP" motto means that you should always help where you can although its not in your territory or scope of work

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
