    Pros

Strong leadership team, great people and products, make HSP a company with tremendous growth potential. An entrepreneurial environment in touch with startup ambition and drive makes it a fun place to work. Very flexible and friendly, too.

    Cons

    Demanding pace, priorities shift quickly.
Resources can be limited at times and employees are asked to produce a high volume of work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay in touch with your teams, communicate frequently and remember that every employee makes a difference.

I have been working at High Street Partners full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Incredibly smart people with a palpable sense of commitment. Combination of consulting, managed services and software complements the value proposition nicely. Strong investment backing and customer list lends credibility to the HSP brand.

    Cons

Experiencing some cultural challenges as the company evolves from a dimunitive, start-up with an entreprenurial feel - to that of a more mature, disciplined and process intensive business. Combination of new people with new thinking - and tenured people accustomed to doing things a certain way, slowly starting to mesh, but still a hurdle.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure your processes and ability to operationally enable clients are able to execute on the massive market opportunity.

I worked at High Street Partners

    Pros

Companies that haven't expanded overseas can get decent guidance from HSP

    Cons

The company still refers to itself as a "start up" even though it was est. in 2003.

I have been working at High Street Partners

    Pros

Company offers casual (jeans) on Friday's with free beer! What's better than that?!
Generally a relaxed and flexible environment. Ability to work remotely if needed or requested. Lots of flexibiility with scheduling. Executives are generally pretty generous - taking employees to lunch or drinks.

    Cons

growing very quickly - not that it's a bad thing, just hard to keep up from a company perspective and change management perspetive.

    Pros

Great people and benefits. Collaboration among departments. Highly intelligent staff. Approachable management team. Caring managers, people and hr. Unlimited vacation time. Flexible work arrangements. Pretty fun environment. Jeans on friday. Good policies and benefits.

    Cons

Because it's a rapidly growing company, flex and change a lot. Quite used to being agile. however, the company is now getting too large to do this and the CEO hasn't figured that out yet.

I have been working at High Street Partners full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Learning about and working on multi-country operations. Some very smart people to learn from. Leader in the market.

    Cons

There's a constant state of change from the top that can be tiring over time. Weak HR team. Health benefits could be much better. There is a lot of out of pocket expense up front which can be very difficult to manage if you need health services. Company changed from HSA (employee-focused benefit) to an FSA (company-focused benefit). The problem with the FSA is that you lose whatever money you set aside that isn't spent by the end of the annual plan date. The left over money goes back to to the company and you lose it. The 401k plan is also not great and they put in a matching plan that is virtually meaningless in the amount of match provided. Unlimited vacation policy sounds great but it too is a benefit to the company as many people don't take the time they should and there is no such thing as a carry over or compensation for vacation days not taken.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put more focus on making employees feel valued and stop taking benefits away while trying to make it sound like the changes are wonderful. You can't expect people to want to give their best if they don't feel valued.

    Pros

interesting work helping clients expand on an international level

    Cons

fear-based motivation from upper management, no transferrable skills, poor internal planning and communication from upper management, favoritism, expectations are not communicated well, no employee recognition, mostly external hiring, internal promotions are rare, managers are given responsibility with little authority

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

start motivating employees using positive motivation instead of fear-based tactics

    Pros

Great people, unlimited vacation, ability to work from home if needed, company continues to grow despite weak economy, flexible schedules, interesting clients and work

    Cons

Company lacks clear strategy, poor internal communication, roles and processes seem to change frequently with little training or transition planning, offices and employees around the world sometimes makes collaborating more difficult,
