A breath of fresh air

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Hill Country full-time for more than a year

ProsThe culture is uniquely wonderful - people who are there because they care about the health of the local community. Truly engaged employees and senior leaders who are committed to organizational values. Employees take care of their patients and each other. One of the top 100 hospitals in the US and one of the top 10 for patient experience, so it makes you feel proud to work there. Everyone tries really hard to do the right thing for patients and each other, and management incentivizes that.

ConsFunding challenges for rural hospitals affect cash flow and ability to buy nicer equipment and facilities as well as salaries to some degree. It is worth it to work at a place that you love though.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep listening to employees and the community and do it even more.
