I worked at Hilton Grand Vacations full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Rewards, vacations at different places, including free resort stays

    Cons

Late and Mid Day shifts, pressure for sales, very high turn over

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think Hilton should hire people who actually have a clue as to how training employees should work. I believe I would have worked there longer if it weren't about favorites and actually doing your job. I was only a sales admin, and I had to work the same hours as the sales team, and they wouldn't let me transfer to a different department.

    Pros

Fellow Employees and supervisors are encouraging, positive, motivating, and helpful. Trainer is fantastic and truly gifted and skilled.

Financially speaking you have the potential to become rich here. Just gotta get past the learning curve period and give it your all.

    Cons

Days without sales or with only 1 sale can be discouraging and break a positive mood and mindset quickly.

Employees give up on themselves before the company gives up on them due to high pressure to meet a quota.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

At this time none. Management is great!!

    Pros

Most of the management is fun, fair and easy to work with, diverse personalities. Fun sales contest almost daily, spiffs, overall nice people. You can make a good income if you stick with it and enjoy sales. Plenty of vacation time and great discounts on hotels!

    Cons

Loud music and Pep Rallies make it hard to focus and hear. A few difficult managers in the bunch.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

I made alot of friends here. There is often opportunity for alot of overtime. The spiffs in addition to hourly pay was really good considering the easy of the job. Relaxed and fun atmosphere.

    Cons

The managers were clueless, knew how nothing worked. Put alot on the team leads, so escalated calls,(there were many) didn't get escalated just switched around by other agents and team leads. A couple of the managers were very condescending, and had no social skills whatsoever.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire yourselves. The agents and team leads run that office.

I have been working at Hilton Grand Vacations full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Consistent hours, Overtime, decent pay, your coworkers are very nice to work with

    Cons

Starting out you will work the later shifts until you have seniority. Its very repetitive and after several months to me it was unbearable. If you are ok with working long hours on the phone dialing and dialing and having a large workload every day then give this job a shot. The commission you receive is based on so many factors that are out of your control and its very disheartening when you work hard and get nothing to show for it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Its not fair that you make the new people work the late shift with almost zero chance of moving up. The only way to get an earlier shift is if someone else with seniority leaves that department or quits..which doesnt really happen. Shake things up a bit as the daily meetings are meh the morale is very low. I also think changing the shifts to 10 hours shifts and only working 4 days a week would really cut down on the stress of the employees. Its also ridiculously cold in the office as they keep the temp down to keep everyone lively. Bring a jacket if you are going to work here
