I worked at Hilton Grand Vacations full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Pretty straightforward process. Applied online and received a call from HR rep the next day, and had a mini-interview on the phone. Hr rep is looking for personality so sound friendly and energetic. Went in for an interview with Front Desk Supervisor and Front Desk Manager, asked typical questions. Job is really fun and easy once you get the hang of it. Co-workers were really nice and I made a lot of friends.

    Cons

Training isn't thorough enough and company is VERY STRICT on employees. They'll write you up for any little thing even when you know its not fair.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better training and discipline protocol.

    Pros

Great pay, learned a lot from coworkers and superiors, free lunches, nice eye candy, loved most coworkers.

    Cons

    Job is seasonal.
Management does not tell staff important changes to packages.
They need to update/change their contacts.
    Dirty workstations.
    Obvious favoritism.
This job will eventually crush your soul and spirit, so good luck!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tell all your staff new rules, New policy, New changes to anything and everything related to us and the customer. Get new contacts to call.

I worked at Hilton Grand Vacations full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Rewards, vacations at different places, including free resort stays

    Cons

Late and Mid Day shifts, pressure for sales, very high turn over

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think Hilton should hire people who actually have a clue as to how training employees should work. I believe I would have worked there longer if it weren't about favorites and actually doing your job. I was only a sales admin, and I had to work the same hours as the sales team, and they wouldn't let me transfer to a different department.

    Pros

Fellow Employees and supervisors are encouraging, positive, motivating, and helpful. Trainer is fantastic and truly gifted and skilled.

Financially speaking you have the potential to become rich here. Just gotta get past the learning curve period and give it your all.

    Cons

Days without sales or with only 1 sale can be discouraging and break a positive mood and mindset quickly.

Employees give up on themselves before the company gives up on them due to high pressure to meet a quota.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

At this time none. Management is great!!
