    Pros

Such a beautiful place to work at. Friendly employees. Great teamwork. General manager is very nice and polite with personnel.

    Cons

Housekeepers salary unfair for the job they perform! Laundry lead target certain employees for personal or no real reasons. She'll do anything to get rid of you. No matter how much effort you put on your duties, she will always find something negative to say. Because of this, they will lower your hours to two days. Very stressful situation.
Only because of this, not worth it.

    Advice to Management

You should have a policy against leads targeting employees.

    Pros

    - Several Opportunities for growth
    - Incentive to do better
    - Upper Class clientele
    - Worked from the very bottom and was able to make it to mid
    - Flexible Schedule

    Cons

    - Poor Pay
    - Inconsistent schedule
    - Rarely saw upper management
    - Was asked to do anything at a moment's notice

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. I would hear amazing ideas but would never see any follow through.
I did feel valued though. Continue to grow, and hire smarter.

    Pros

    Lot's of down time.
Excellent hotel discount at other Hilton's, just not this one.
You get to meet a lot of people to perhaps find a better job.

    Cons

You have to deal with a lot of people trying to get free rooms. Often they are drunk and will make up stuff or get hostile and you have to smile and take it.
There was absolutely no chance for advancement or benefits.
The place was a major rumor mill.

    Advice to Management

Maybe instead of paying 4 managers, try for 3 and give the rest of the minimum wage employees a wage bump.

    Pros

Solid career, and flexibility to work anywhere throughout the country. Hospitality industry provides an opportunity to transfer your skills to other hotels or resorts throughout the world.

    Cons

In order to grow your career you have to be willing to work weekends, holidays, and sacrifice time with your family. Hotels are open 24 hours a day, and 365 days a year. There will always be a demand to work more than the average 40 hour week when you reach management level.

    Advice to Management

Have an open mind to your schedule, you will be on call 24 hours a day, and will most likely need to work weekends and holidays frequently.

    Pros

Management is great to work with. The environment is friendly yet professional. Very clean and organized work areas. A great working relationship with the other employees.

    Cons

Pay could be better with some good benefits added. The usual with any hospitality type job working holidays are no fun but someone has to do it.

    Advice to Management

    Monetary rewards are great incentives.

    Pros

The only enjoyment I gathered from this particular company (Interstate Management) not the Hilton brand hotel is the interaction with the guests and the free ham on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

    Cons

The General Managers are more involved with themselves than making sure their employees are happy. The people there are already barely making manageable wages but to not even receive a sincere appreciation from local management or corporate management is causing the hotels to decline and otherwise productive employees to become bitter and resentful.

    Advice to Management

Fire yourselves and hire those that are competent, loyal, and fair. Stop hiring people who you owe favors to. That concept will eventually back fire.

    Pros

Co workers are friendly and thats about it.

    Cons

Managers have no idea what they are doing. You can sit down. If you work front desk you are always a lone and never get a break or lunch. You just have to eat in break room and run to bathroom with phone in case someone calls. You only make 9.50 per hour as front desk. No benefits and barely any hours!

    Advice to Management

Make sure you employees get breaks and lunches!
