I have been working at Hilton Worldwide full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits. Discounted or free hotel stays. Work/life balance. Almost unlimited PTO. 10 holidays paid. Fill feel with coworkers and management. Spontaneous and Random Pizza Days. Offsite team building events. Recognition.

    Cons

Hotel assignments are not fairly chosen; seniority and high performance means nothing. It's all about playing politics and who complains the most.

    Advice to Management

    I love it here.

I worked at Hilton Worldwide (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work at home, team member travel program, decent benefit package, decent starting pay for a CC job, quarterly bonus if you hit your numbers, nice people

    Cons

Little communication, help desk is not well trained, severe technology issues across the board (phones go down frequently, poor implementation of new password security feature causing an influx of calls regarding login issues, system fails to post stays constantly causing angry customers, chat feature to get assistance with questions is constantly down). My biggest con was that the on boarding team lies about the timeframe for moving up to a new position. I was told during my interview there would be a technical support spot opening that I could move into within a month or so, then the training team said 90 days buy could be sooner depending on experience and need, but when I applied I was told even though I was qualified all employees had to wait 6 months before moving into another position. Getting to see how much money you made for Hilton ($25000 in a month) and the 0% commision because CC doesn't get commision, only reservation agents get that.

    Advice to Management

Don't lie and expect to keep employees. Improve technology before fulfilling the promise of opening up more spots nationwide. You don't have the server capacity for that many agents. Hire people for what they're qualified for rather than losing valuable talent. Give a commision to anyone in HRCC making a reservation.

    Pros

They do have some area's where the salary is competitive, you'll find a lot of friendly co-workers, several corporate social events a year, and they work hard on opportunities to get involved in the community.

    Cons

The wrong people get recognized by upper management and promoted. These individuals who are promoted do not promote good company culture or support positive morale. It's really important for upper management to listen to feedback so they can help guide the correct culture for the whole team.

    Advice to Management

Listen to feedback, get involved with the social event and volunteering, and find ways to maintain well talented employee

I have been working at Hilton Worldwide full-time

    Pros

Benefits: healthcare, free/discounted hotel rooms. OT and work performance incentive: you earn points and smiles which you can buy PTO hours, gifts cards and lunch vouchers with. Friendly work environment. There's lots of opportunities to move within the company.

    Cons

Maximum raise you can receive after a good annual performance evaluation is 0.50. It is a must that you love customer service to do this type of work because the job does not pay you enough to listen to guests complain (some are valid and some are from guests who just take advantage of the system to get a free room) all day long. it's almost impossible to get PTO/s approved during holidays and summer months not unless you apply months in advance to get an approval.

    Advice to Management

Adjust the pay scale and offer more incentives which will encourage better performance and result in employee satisfaction = employee loyalty/retention = low turn-over rate.

    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at Hilton Worldwide as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice facilities, feels like great opportunities

    Cons

Politics and Management Levels plays a big role that it is a detriment to the project. They think they have good communication, but they don't when it comes to projects. Some people are very difficult to work with that actually impact the project, but nothing is done about it.

I have been working at Hilton Worldwide part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

When Media at The Anatole is busy, it is really good. There is a lot of money to be made when the hotel is busy. There are also nice perks with your mobile carrier and nice room discounts.

    Cons

Media at The Anatole doesn't get much outside business. When the hotel is below 30% there is no money to be made at Media. Half the managers are new, and the other half have been there a few years or so. For whatever reason they hate to make cuts. There is tooooo much down time for the servers there. The majority of the servers are well over 45 so they don't trust any of the servers to big sections.

    Advice to Management

When the restaurant is slow, make cuts. Half the staff wants to go home when it is slow, and the other half would like to stay and make some money. Its a win, win. Who wants to work a shift when they have been there for over 4 hours and each server has only had 1 table? Just saying.
