I have been working at Hilton Worldwide full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great hotels - great people in the hotels. Nice offices. Some change for movement

    Cons

As a 30+ year employee of Hilton - I have seen many changes. The most significant have been in the last 5 years. Corporate office morale is horrible. Hilton has the spin machine working to make it seem like everyone likes their job - but upper management is in a bubble. HR is a real bubble. Many in the corporate office have never worked in a hotel and don't know how to communicate with guests. The guest is no longer a priority with Hilton. Just profits. Do more with less mentality.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying so hard to 'spin' the opinion of your corporate team members.

I worked at Hilton Worldwide (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun environment when you can be on your own if you know what you are doing

    Cons

They lie about what they are hiring you for. I applied for one position to work an unrelated one that had me working a closing shift then schedule to return in sometimes under 5 hours to open the next shift. Im perfectly capable of doing these things if they were under the same department let alone the department I had applied for.

    Advice to Management

Dont lie to applicants by saying they will be hired for a certain position if they won't. Also take into consideration that when they suggest different ways of doing things, to give them a shot rather than be stubborn in your ways because of how long you have done them as such. If an employee has years of experience and it has worked solidly, maybe that employee knows what they are talking about?

    Cons

Counter productive environment Agencies and vendors have more power than Hilton employees A bunch of outdated folks are running the show

    Advice to Management
