    I worked at Hilton Worldwide

    Pros

The hospitality industry is vast. The Hilton family of hotels has something for everyone. The travel benefits are a plus working for this company!

    Cons

It is a very large company and sometimes someone might get lost in the hustle and bustle of a busy environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make exceptions when management support is needed. The rule of working in a position for six months before advancement eligibility should be reviewed when there is a crisis. Current employees who have management experience should be considered if they are in an hourly position yet interested in helping with crisis management on a as needed basis... be flexible when you need the help and you have the staff willing to step up!

I worked at Hilton Worldwide as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

The hotel was very nice, elegant and modern. It is a great place to work at. The managers and supervisors are nice, I get hands on experience in using the system and I really enjoy assisting with the guests.

    Cons

It is hard to establish personal relationship between other employees. I don't know that happens because I was an intern (worked 12-16 hours a week), or people there just want professional relationship. I don't feel close to other employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to provide the opportunity that bring the employees and staff together, a great team can do better performance

I have been working at Hilton Worldwide part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

With BAS (build a schedule) it is very flexible, The people who work for HRCC are awesome!

    Cons

I wish we got paid more and that they cared more about us taking care of the customers (which will in-turn come back to Hilton hotels to make us all more money in the long run.. However, they are pushing more and more about up-selling, cross selling, spend more, spend more, spend more!.. I understand we need to get them to spend however, if we push people to much they are going to run from Hilton then where are we going to be!

I have been working at Hilton Worldwide full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are good; lots of team member appreciation and recognition. Lots of ways to go above and beyond your job and be apart of other departments working toward a goal. Management is always looking to improve hotel.

    Cons

Attendance policy is really strict. Recreation department manager needs to go. Transferring from department to department or to other hotel has a lot of requirements as well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend a day in the shoes of your team members. Watch closely to managers and listen to what team members say about them. Just because they smile around you doesn't mean that smile is permanent.
