    Cons

-Worked there for almost 2 years where I started on First Shift (5 or 6am), than I was bumped to cafeteria (same time), than I was moved to Banquets (start time 7am, 9am, or 12am), I got sick and was out a week and upon my arrival back they decided, without asking me, to move me to 3rd shift in the restaurant (1pm,2pm,3pm, or 4pm).

I have been working at Hilton Worldwide full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    - fair compensation
    - great benefits
    - cheap travel
    - lots of leisure time during work
    - mostly great people
    - looks good on your resume

    Cons

    - directors have poor understanding of what our jobs are or how they should accurately be measured
    - lack of access to data needed to optimize our sites
    - judged on driving revenue but not given enough autonomy to make strategic decisions on how to drive thay revenue
    - hostility and distrust between senior managers and directors prevents positive change
    - portfolio sizes are too large making it difficult to adapt during times of high turnover
    - leadership let's slackers slide while overloading their good people for extended periods of time
    - yearly survey is taken, but nothing changes

    Opportunities for different experiences

I have been working at Hilton Worldwide

    Pros

Hilton's Property Internship Program is a great way to get your foot in the door in the hospitality industry. I applied with no direct hospitality experience and learned more than I could imagine about this industry in just one summer. Hilton really treats you well, even as an intern, which is untrue for a lot of companies.

    Cons

The only con I would have to say is that it depends which tasks you are given at the specific property you're at. Sometimes the work I was given was a little tedious, but don't be afraid to ask the managers for more challenging work.

    Great team member travel benefits.
    Promotes from within.

    Cons

I have been working at Hilton Worldwide full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I love my job. I get to interact with great coworkers and guests, and it makes my job enjoyable. They do a good job of promoting within and fostering potential leadership in younger workers.

    Cons

I work the night shift so often times, I'm one of few employees in the hotel. That often creates difficulties during the busier hours in the early part of my shift.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep workers engaged. Often times many workers are seen sitting in the lobby and it can be quite a distraction for guests of the hotel.
