    Cons

Compensation for this position is well below average
Resistance to change, as in the attitude of "we do it this way because this is always how we've done things"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay special attention to career development for lower-level team members, especially if you want them to stick around

    I worked at Hilton Worldwide

    Pros

Management seems decent, for the most part.

    Cons

Most of the people who I worked with didn't seem to care about their jobs or the company they worked for.

Lack of hours and promotions. Management has favorites, I would not work there again

I have been working at Hilton Worldwide

    Pros

Pay was not good, annual raises which were great but they were usually 10 cents or less. The guests and some of my co-workers were the only real thing I enjoyed about the job.

    Cons

Like I said. No hours, bad pay, and disorganized management.

  8.

Current Employee - Banquet-Server/On-Call in Baltimore, MD

I have been working at Hilton Worldwide

    Pros

The benefits walking in are pretty good considering that I'm only On-Call/Banquet-Server. Team members are really cool to work with most of the time, and its usually all smiles all day. Easy work environment and down to earth boss's.

    Cons

Favoritism gets completely out of control most of the time. No one's generally held accountable for their actions. We have high levels of immaturity that can cause unnecessary work difficulty. Lack of consistent hours and last second cancellation's. Mangers are mostly on point but tend to be easily detracted and lose focus of job responsibilities. Full-time employees complain alot about Part-Time employees getting as many hours as them; but generally themselves don't follow the standard that they've complained about. Since we're union they make multiple excuses and complain about everything almost all the time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hold employees accountable for their action and hold them to a high standard. Learning more efficient ways to get job done. Learn how to be an actual boss at work and not someone's buddy. Maintaining hilton standards as such to create a professional and positive workplace experience.

I worked at Hilton Worldwide full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

All the team members are great and really care about their quality of work

    Cons

-Older 3-Star hotel, and therefore lower rates to accommodate a 3-Star guest
-This is a union property, so depending on the department there are no 401k benefits and the union reps are completely worthless (only want your weekly union dues and will show up at your house to harass you about membership)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More recognition for line level staff

    Cons

Nothing bad to say! At times didn't get along with people, but that tends to happen to everyone. No biggie.
