was so happy, and helpful. I would love to work for this great company.

    Pros

With BAS (build a schedule) it is very flexible, The people who work for HRCC are awesome!

    Cons

I wish we got paid more and that they cared more about us taking care of the customers (which will in-turn come back to Hilton hotels to make us all more money in the long run.. However, they are pushing more and more about up-selling, cross selling, spend more, spend more, spend more!.. I understand we need to get them to spend however, if we push people to much they are going to run from Hilton then where are we going to be!

    Pros

Flexible employer that invests in its employees with health and employee purchase benefits, and a strong incentive plan structure. Lot's of opportunities to travel and see the world.

    Cons

There seems to be a trend of lower pay than industry standard in compensation for a stellar benefits plan. There's a lack of support for internal advancement. Seems to be frequent internal struggles at this company.

    Advice to Management

Listen and invest more in your sales team, and elevate them. Realignment is needed.

    Pros

The fellow General Managers and fellow workers are great to work with. Hotels in portfolio are good hotels with Holiday Inn Express, Hampton's and Courtyards.

    Cons

Leadership is non-existent at this company. Time off policy was changed a year ago to further corporate needs but did not account for long-term employees. Much decisions made at corporate level are made by few and some without hotel experience with any input from hotel management and with little time for implementation of processes.

    Advice to Management

Work with hotel management to develop ideas, policies and procedures that will let company grow and become a company people strive to work for - it isn't at this time.

    Pros

Benefits are good; lots of team member appreciation and recognition. Lots of ways to go above and beyond your job and be apart of other departments working toward a goal. Management is always looking to improve hotel.

    Cons

Attendance policy is really strict. Recreation department manager needs to go. Transferring from department to department or to other hotel has a lot of requirements as well.

    Advice to Management

Spend a day in the shoes of your team members. Watch closely to managers and listen to what team members say about them. Just because they smile around you doesn't mean that smile is permanent.

    Pros

Employee perks, random free lunches, excellent benefits and organizational support.

    Cons

There can be a lack of cross-team collaboration and communication resulting in duplication of efforts.

Pay and benefits for those in management are not competitive.

I worked at Hilton Worldwide full-time

    Pros

    - Nice managers/employees
    - Hotel discounts
    - Good work life balance

    Cons

    - Terrible salaries, even for those in management.
    - Expensive healthcare and benefits for those not in unions
    - No holiday pay, have to work on holidays unless you use your personal PTO for it. Same for sick days. Only 21 days a year for first 4 or 5 years there. Considering there are at least 8-10 federal holidays that most office employees in any company gets, you only have about 11 days left for any vacation or sick days every year.
    - Very stiff, dull culture without any effort by the company to increase employee satisfaction, don't expect any employee perks or bonding here!
    - Didn't provide a suitable office for their office workers, instead we were pushed into every unsellable, dark corner of the hotel.
